Chapter 21

Jay got up. “What was that for?”

“Haven’t I taken care of you since I got out? No one can connect those payday loan robberies to us. I gave you a fifty grand, so why did you need five hundred dollars?” Jay glanced at Billy warily as he sat back up on the chair.

“Bobby was too smug. Before the accident, he came in acting all superior because he landed Keith. I was barking up that tree myself. Bobby needed to be put in his place.” Jay’s face was set in anger.

“So Mark told Bobby about you and Keith’s ex and now Mark has friends, making things more difficult for me. You’re lucky I don’t strangle you, in fact, I’m still considering it. Since we apparently can’t pick him up at the club, I’ve got another plan…”
