Chapter 100

Dr. M was standing across the room talking animatedly to someone from the university. Henry leaned in their direction and listened: come back to Longwood to chair the new Wiccan studies program…

Dr. M caught his eye, frowned, and shook her head very slightly.

Sorry, Dr. M. I know I’m not supposed to eavesdrop.

At least there were no reporters here.

Dr. M, as the unofficial spokesperson of the Council of Covens for Greater Richmond, had been interviewed by BBC America, CNN, NPR, the Times-Dispatch, The Washington Post, The New York Times, andthe London Times. A press conference was scheduled for Christmas Eve with what seemed like every television station and newspaper up and down the East Coast and Canada as well. Wisely, Dr. M only told them part of the story.

Henry was glad she hadn’t told anyone his and Jamey’s part in what had happened. When you’re ready, we’ll let people know. But don’t be surprised if one of the magicals figures it out before that and talks.
