“Thanks.” Thad swallowed two pills dry while watching Sandy turn translucent again.
“Soo…” Jaecar stared at the space where Sandy had stood before he faded. “You’re a sorcerer.”
Thad sighed. “I guess. I don’t know…I should talk to my parents…right?” Or not. He grimaced. He didn’t want to talk to his mother, it had been three years, and it had been a wonderful time. He didn’t want to think about how he could be a sorcerer when his parents were mages. “Any leads on Ava Davis?”
Jaecar shook his head.
“What do we know about the latest missing woman?”
Jaecar motioned at a file Leo was holding.
“Okay, we need to see if she or any of the old ones have met Matthew Adams.”
“Ms. Davis’ boyfriend?” Leo looked at him.
Thad nodded. “He’s a psychic, and my guess is he can sense and or find wizards.”
Sandy cursed. “You baited him?”
“I didn’t bait him.” Thad frowned at Sandy.
“You did, you showed him you were a wizard and his eyes went all funny. Now he knows you.”
