“It’s a two-wizard operation.” Grim nodded. “Are you interested?”
“Thaddeus!” Sandy was a monstrous mix of human and wolf.
Thad moved the fingers on his left hand. It didn’t take much effort to make Sandy corporeal, but he didn’t want to tip Grim off. Looking into the circle, he met Jaecar’s gaze and nodded
“I know nothing about spirits.” He allowed the first trickle of energy to leave his fingers as he looked into Grim’s eyes. “How will I know what to do?”
Grim frowned. “It is worrisome you didn’t set the spirit in the skull free. It should have come naturally to you. Your father is Elwood Oxon, one of the most powerful sorcerers out there. It took a lot of effort from the Ezax family to hush the affair up, but most of them—” His words stung. Thad hadn’t known, but he tried not to let it affect him and he increased the flow into Sandy. Grim’s eyes left Thad’s, but he wasn’t fast enough.
