Chapter 31

“All right. Here goes nothing,” Eric muttered under his breath after he burned the strand of hair.

He observed curiously as the fire consumed the hair in its entirety, and he had to relinquish his hold on it or risk injuring himself. Then he was taken aback when he felt something invisible tugging at him from within. Without being fully aware of it, he started making his way somewhere. It was as if something unknown was leading him toward a particular destination. He wasn’t being forcefully dragged against his will, but it felt a little uncomfortable because he didn’t have a choice. He had to walk without really knowing where he would be heading to.
