Liam knew he loved Jasper, he never stopped. He didn’t go on this trip to run away from him, but to heal. As a part of the healing process he consciously tried to distance himself and made steps in that direction. He never contacted Jasper (except that one time), he tried not to think about him (except those few times), he tried and tried, but failed, making all those exceptions. He wanted to be one of those feminists who preached about self-respect and freeing themselves from those who hurt them. They’d never let themselves be treated like that, but they also didn’t know the love he did. Deep inside he knew if he stayed and let Jasper explain himself, he’d forgive him. Jasper was a beautiful, kind soul who sometimes got lost in himself and his messed-up reasoning to explain the world around him. Sometimes it led to creative and mind-blowing ideas, sometimes to catastrophes.
