Chapter 67

Ethan kept the radio off. It was easier to drive when it was silent. He arrived just before two and parked by a building. The sign read “DR. KAMARIA BROWN” in the window. Ethan stepped into the waiting area, spotting a few jolly faced, paper cut out Santas on the wall with disgust.

She always wore comfortable, business casual clothes to her office, complete with bright, colorful jewelry. Dr. Brown smiled and held open the door.

“Why don’t you come on in and we can get started?”

“Deck the halls with lots of fat tits, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la la! Tis the season to get waste-ed, fa-la-la-la-la, la-la la la!”

“Ew,” laughed Finn from the kitchen. “You know ‘fat tits’ and ‘wasted’ don’t rhyme, right?”
