Chapter 26

“Well, normally, all you want to do is fuck too. Every damn weekend you go to a bar to pick up a guy.”

Nix snorted. “That’s not dating.”

“I agree, but it’s what you do.”

Nix frowned. “No one goes to a bar and expects to find Prince Charming. I know it’s nothing more than sex, and the guy I’m with knows it too.”

Logan gave him a bored look.

“This was different. Kyle and I know each other, we work together, and we’ve already hooked up once. I went there thinking we’d grab a bite to eat, maybe see a movie or something.”

“Talk books?”

Nix shrugged. He hadn’t thought they’d talk about books. He talked books with Jules, and that was enough. “When I got there, he hadn’t changed out of the clothes he wore to work, hadn’t showered or prepared any food, or, you know…anything. He told me to get into the bedroom.”

Logan stared. “And you did?”

“No.”

The grin—why was he grinning? “No? So you could’ve fucked Kyle Richards and chose not to?”
