Chapter 13

Luke opened his mouth to reply when Caleb from across the street seated himself on the stool next to him. “Luke, it’s nice to see you.” Caleb grinned and nodded at Kace.

“Caleb.” Luke’s gaze jumped between Kace and Caleb, a frown appearing between his brows.

“How have you been? We’ve been missing you. Kace has been missing you.”

Kace winced and went to pour Caleb a beer.

“Has he?”

Kace tried not to react to the surprise in Luke’s voice, but seriously! He had to know how much Kace had missed him.

“Always talking about you.” Caleb nodded.

Luke looked at him, and he shrugged. Always was an exaggeration, but Caleb knew Luke, it was easy to talk about him with someone who had met him.

“Yeah, he’s mostly moping when you’re not here.” Caleb grinned, Kace rolled his eyes, and Luke beamed.

“Is that so?” The look he gave Kace had tingles dancing over his skin.

“I’m glad you’re back. But don’t growl at my customers.”
