From Behind that Locked Door

Cillian groaned in pain. They took him off the truck and through the big doors of the hospital.


While he expected to be taken to a bed, they instead brought him right to a shower where several men and women waited to undress him and clean his wounds. There, he saw Rapunzel, who enjoyed a nice shower involving foaming soap and soft sponges.


Nothing about his cleaning was pleasant. Everything hurt. The water wasn’t warm enough to be enjoyable, and the people cleaning him scrubbed at his injuries with fervor. They also tried to get the dried blood off of him. It took the better part of half an hour to wash him fully.


All the while, they asked him questions about who he was and if he had any allergies. When they finished, he was outfitted with a hospital bracelet.
