Chapter 17

Like Alec had said, this was turning out to be one of the most surprising days of his life.

Shame still burned inside him at shifting and scaring Alec like he had. He couldn’t remember the last time he’d unconsciously changed form. He didn’t even do it when he was sick. But the sense of drowning in Alec’s emotions and desires had exploded when Alec had touched him. He couldn’t stay human any more than he could’ve stopped breathing. Getting scolded by his dad like he was a child cemented his remorse, so it was impossible to refuse Alec’s request when he’d come knocking. As confused and frustrated as Alec made him, Rowan would never hurt him. He deserved to know that.
