Rowan sighed. A moment later, his nose nuzzled into Alec’s neck. “Thank you,” he whispered. “I can’t believe how badly I needed this.”

Alec curled his arm over Rowan’s. “Did he wake up at all while you were sitting with him?”

“No. There was a really strong sedative in the painkillers they gave him.” He paused. “What did you guys find that made you talk about Martin and Will’s parents?”

Though he didn’t necessarily think talking about it would help them relax, Alec told him anyway. “Will never did say who he found,” he finished. “We’ll have to wait until tomorrow for those details.”

“Is he leaving?”

“I don’t know.” Alec wasn’t sure which was going to trump the other—his promise at the hospital, or Uncle Martinrrsquo;s fury at being left out. uldquo;But if he does, I think Inrsquo;m going with him.hrdquo;
