What is a name?

Amie was terrified. Had Heidi seen the flyer? What about the others in the orphanage? Would they believe she was a witch?

Her thoughts were interrupted by Heidi coming from behind, "Looks like they made a good story for you. A witch who was privately executed to spare shame from the royal family. Poor girl, they never really wanted you did they?"

Internally relieved Heidi didn't believe she was a witch, Amie did her best to not show any change of emotion when she responded, "They just used me as a political pawn. They're probably happy they found a way to get rid of me."

The flyer announcing Amie's death, combined with the knowledge the guards believed she perished in the woods, Amie felt she might be safe. She said, "It looks like the guards won't come for me."

Heidi responded, "Just in case though, you should lie low for a while. There could still be a few looking for you in secret. They don't have a body for you yet."
