People fear death for many reasons. For some, the fear of what comes after. The fear of being forgotten. A threat to the meaningfulness of life. Being forced to stop life projects.
This was what the world feared before. Now, what we fear is what we become 
After Death.

A suspenseful story told by different characters over the years of the zombie apocalypse. The group consists of high school kids and deals with troubling events in which not everyone survives.

Eyes were on us but I couldn't tell where they were coming from. The air felt cold though the humidity skyrocketed. My whole body froze as I instinctively felt like I was about to die. This was it, it felt like a blur.


"We have to get out of here," Angie whispered through her shaky and unstable breath. I couldn't agree more but I couldn't bring myself to move.


As I began to calm down, finally finding my feeling in the rest of my body again, I saw them. Their faces pale, their hands stained in blood, their mouths shaped into a perfect and petrifying smile. I wanted to run.


"I appreciate everything you've done for us."


"I didn't do it for you, I did it for Amyas."


"Look, I know things have changed. We were friends before all of this and now that's not really the case anymore. I'm not sorry, for associating myself with Ethan, but I'm also not gonna tell you to do the same. If you wanna build an empire, build an empire. No one's stopping you, no one ever was. I can't be a part of it though, Evelyn's waiting for me and I can't just abandon her."


"I get it. You do whatever you need to do."


"Leah, that's not my point. You can't do this alone. Piper's gonna leave to find her daughter, I'm leaving to find the woman I love. You don't have to stay here. You could come with us."


"No I can't. This is something I have to do. This is what will be best for my son."


"This is the only thing I've been 'sure of' in a long time. I'll be fine, Khai. You don't have to worry about me."
