Season 5/The Final Season

----------------------------------------------

I've always hated hosting meetings. The news is never easy to hear, arguably even worse to say. It was my job to keep us together and I feel like every time I call everyone together we fall apart, but at least we try to hide it.

I called Rudi, Lila, and Grahame to the back of the station. I feel like they already knew what I was about to say. Their faces were prepared for the worst and I wanted so badly for their predictions to be false, but regrettably, no matter how I put it, it just couldn't be that way.

"My sister has Airianna." I sign letting the silence of the others shock consume me.

"Where?" Rudolph asked blankly and all I could do was not dare to look him in the eyes. "Where is she, Ethan."

"She didn't say." I knew that wasn't the answer he wanted but at the moment, it was the only answer I was qualified to give.

Rudi didn't waste time to ask more questions or to even say anything more. He left the meeting after barging through the others. They all looked back at me with sympathy before they decided we had talked enough too. A part of me wanted to run after Rudi, knowing what he was probably going to do, but I didn't. I followed behind, slowly.

Two Days Later

--------------------------------

Rudi interrogated Addie enough to the point she was bleeding and unable to speak. He pulled three of her back molars out with a pair of rusty pliers and slowly ran the tip of a blade down her neck to her bicep. He told me that wasn't all he did but I couldn't stick around long enough to know what else happened. It was one of the most terrifying things I've ever seen but it was worth it. After the pain, after the suffering, after my stone-cold sister couldn't take it anymore, we knew where Airianna was. Angie too. And Steve.

Today was the day we were going to get them back. We had already waited too long and if I had waited any longer Rudi would have gone by himself.

The directions Addie gave us were vague but we made it work. We all trudged through the pain of Arizona and we thought this was gonna be good, but unfortunately, before we knew it, we saw the horrors. My friends hung from trees.
