Can dreams predict our future?

Josh: "Hey, Johanna, how's it going?"

Johanna: "I am ok, how about you?"

Josh: "I am ok too."

Johanna was sitting on her blue computer chair and drumming her short fingers against the table. A smell of food, most probably of meatballs pierced through her nose and tickled her taste buds. The soft rays of the sun reflected onto her clothes stapled next to the window the budgies were happily singing in the kitchen and living in their bubble.

Josh: "There's something I need to talk to you about."

Johanna: "Sure. Shoot."

Johanna's heart raced, her stomach turned uncomfortably and ached and her mind went blank, after going through all the scenarios she was fearing about. And then as one of the biggest fears passed through her mind, it became a reality transcribed onto the computer screen.

Josh: "I want to break up!"

Johanna felt a virtual punch in the stomach and a lump into her throat, as tears fell down her keyboard. Suddenly she woke up sweaty with her heart racing and feeling crappy. She stood up and dragged her feet to the kitchen where she poured water in a glass she held in her shaking hand, then gulped it down and observed a moment too late that the water was very cold. It was dark in the house as it was the middle of the night. Her budgies were peacefully sleeping and her parents too, as she heard some snorting from their bedroom. An ugly feeling crept into her body and soul as if she had a premonition. She had lots of dreams that at some point or another turned to reality. She returned to her bedroom feeling sad and hugged a stuffed cockatiel, as tears ran down her cheeks and a feeling of hopelessness traveled her body leaving her sick. Were they going to break up and was her dream a premonitory dream?
