Moon, Who Are You?

"Huh? Nowhere?" Ryton's eyes widened and seemed to take another look at her, "You must be from Rosemount or Baystall maybe. If you were going to lie, you could make it better," he laughed shaking his head, "Yea right."

"So, are you letting me stay with you for the night, Sir Ryton?"

"Eh? No need to call me sir, I have no title but a poor man," The man smiled, "If you want to stay, I guess that is fine. You can take my bed. I am sure it isn't much considering where you've come from, but beats sleeping 'nowhere'."

The Moon Goddess followed the man into the room. Just like the rest of the house, there was not much but a twin bed and bedsheets. She thanked him and watched him leave, before settling on the bed. She looked out of the window and saw her moon illuminate the sky.

'I think I can finally mark one. Ryton will make a fine Werewolf, one who is caring with a bright attitude. Ah~ Here I thought my mission was a lost cause! Ah, finally.'

She sighed and fell back onto the bed with a smile.

That night, when she was asleep, the man snuck into the room to watch her sleep. He was kneeled before her, staring at her face as if he could make out the rest of it behind the fabric. Ah, he really wanted to peek! His fingers itched to lift the cloth so he could finally satiate his curiosity, but every time his fingers came close, he hesitated.

'Moon, who are you?'

Ryton sighed softly and crossed his arms. Leaving the room, he closed the door softly thinking the female was asleep the entire night. It was a lie. The Moon Goddess does not sleep and she knew he was there. She wondered if he would eventually ask her to reveal herself or would he give into his curiosity.

The next day, she joined him once more to the farm. This time, the boy was picking strawberries and Ryton was picking the rice wheat. She joined and felt her bare toes touch the wet dirt below. Her white robe was dunked and flowed in the water. She followed how Ryton was completing his task, and she hummed with a smile.

"Why are you so gentle with the wheat," Ryton went over and chuckled, "Just pull it out."

"I find treating what we eat well, will make it taste better," she smiled and the look on his face made her laugh.

As they continued working, a man with a crowd walked into the fields and stared at them. His hair was pulled back from his face and sharp brown eyes looked at each person working. Robert walked over with his goons and bowed to him.

"Sir Jordan Meeks," they greeted, "We are honored to have you come to our fields. Come to the shade out of the sun."

Sir Jordan Meeks nodded and followed the man to the shade. He sat on the chair and looked out into the crowd. The harvest had been plentiful and he was extremely glad for it. He and all his mistresses will eat well once more.

"There are many more than before, Robert. Well done. They went willingly, I assume?"

"The kid was the one to make them all happy," Robert explained, "Good thing he listens so well."

Jordan smirks and looked over to Ryton Yu, an abandoned child with nothing to live for. He offered a job and the boy took it easily. The boy was so easy to put on a smile and danced to whatever tune he told him. Ryton was molded by him.

However, Jordan Meeks was surprised to see the boy laughing and smiling, almost genuine in his eyes. Unless Ryton was an even better liar than he thought, or the boy now man, was actually happy. The woman beside him, covered much of her body and face, was speaking with Ryton and touching him. Jordan hummed to himself. For

Ryton to not push the female aside only meant the boy was interested.

'Hm… Can't have that now,' leader of Winterhallow narrowed his eyes.

Ryton Yu could not fall in love or ever dare to start a family. If he did, then the boy would not help him with the fields any longer! No, Ryton Yu would be alone as he should be!

"Who is that woman?" He demanded with his eyes glaring at the back of raven hair.

"She is the boy's wife."

"What?!" Sir Jason Meeks slammed his glass on the table and stood up, "Bring them to me, now!"

Robert looked at the two others with him and told them to do as told. Jason watched the exchange, watched Ryton leave the thigh deep water, watched the boy help the female out, watched as the boy held the female close, and they even dared to exchange kisses to the cheeks!

By the time they reached him, Sir Jason Meeks was fuming.

"Sir Jason Meeks, an honor," Ryton grinned and looked at the female, "This is Moon, she is my wife."

Before the Moon Goddess could say anything, the man she assumed was the leader of this city, spoke up with such anger. She felt it trembled the ground they stood.

"Liar."

"Eh?" Ryton's eyes blinked widely.

"I know you, boy," the leader's eyes narrowed even more, "You would not marry without telling me first, right?"

The accusation and threat was evident in the man's tone. Ryton inwardly sighed. Sir Jason Meeks had known him since he was only 6 years old. So, of course he would see through his lies. He had hoped he could hide this just a little longer. Moon said she would leave today, so everything was going to plan then the leader of the damn place had to show up!

Ugh! Can't he catch a break?

"Sir Jason Meeks," Moon greeted, but the man ignored her.

"If she was your wife, you'd already taught her to be in her place, like me. So tell me, why did you lie to the boys? Here I thought you've all gotten along so well."

"We are getting along," Ryton spoke quickly, "There is no problem here. I am merely helping a young lady is all."

"Is that so," Jason looked at the female who was staring at him intensely. A grin slowly formed and he let out a sharp laugh, "Then you wouldn't mind if I take her as my mistress."

"What?!" Moon and Ryton said at the same time before glancing at one another.
