Benjamin Anthony

Charles tapped his chin for a moment before heading to another section of the library. She watched him climb the steps again and pulled out a thick book. Joining Moon back at the seat, he flipped through the pages and came upon a small section.

"This is the only other one I could find," Charles explained, "Someone found writings in caves and transcribed it in this book. It says, 'The Sun God helps keep our food growing and our hearts happy. Must offer chicken and grapes. Disaster of storms if one does not obey.

The Moon Goddess helps keep us safe, provide chosen alpha as protection. Must offer fruit and flowers. Sacrifice of blood is needed. Disaster of flood and pain if one does not obey.' That is all that was given."

The Moon Goddess nodded and turned those words in her head. Those words… it must be from the group of people who believed blood or infant sacrifices would save them. She shook her head and placed her hand on his on the page.

"It is not all true. Sacrifices do not need to be made. Offering would be pleasant, but the Sun God and Moon Goddess will do all they could to help the world of Nevrisea."

"Hm? How do you know?" Charles questioned with a shine in his eyes, "Are you a worshiper? Your family? Tell me more. Wait! Let me get my notebook!"

Charles was so excited to gain more information on the Sun God and Moon Goddess. He could add it into a written book he was working on and finally have his novel on his shelves. Grabbing the notepad from his counter, he heard the door opened.

"Brother," a man with short brown hair and grey eyes grinned, "There you are. How has your day been? Eh? You look really excited. What is it?"

"I met Miss Moon and she knows some information on the Sun God and Moon Goddess. I have to ask her questions while she is here."

"Brother, don't scare her off," the man sighed, "You scared off that one guy, remember?"

"Benjamin, I know. Don't worry," Charles smiled and headed to where the female was. His brother tagged along, curious as to who this mysterious Miss Moon was. The first thing Benjamin saw was the female's side profile. He stopped in his track and stared, pulling his brother to a stop and away from his view.

"What the hell!" His twin brother frowned at him, but Charles saw the look on his brother's face and he blinked confused. Turning to look back at the female with barely any skin showing, he glanced back at his brother.

"She… This is Miss Moon?" Benjamin sounded breathless and Charles nodded, but his twin didn't even notice it.

The Moon Goddess was currently waiting for Charles to return. She was holding the book the librarian had just read and wished the sacrificial part was never written on here. It shouldn't had been used to begin with and if anyone were to read this, they would certainly think her brother and she were terrible, evil beings.

"Uh, excuse me," a man with brown hair and grey eyes cleared his throat, "May I sit here?"

"Charles, this is your store. Is it not?" She questioned confused as to why the man was sounding shy, when earlier he was running around with an abundance of energy.

"Charles is me," another brown haired grey eyed man sounded, "This is my twin brother, Benjamin. Just ignore him if he gets on your nerves."

"Hey! Don't embarrass me," Benjamin pinched his brother's arm, before sitting down at the other end of the female.

"And if my brother asks too many questions, just slap him," he grinned.

'Twins,' the Moon Goddess listened to their bickering and she felt her heart skipping, 'Twins have a strong bond and they are already familial. No families but if it was only the two of them…'

"Miss Moon?"

"Uh, yes?"

"So first thing first," Charles took a deep breath and asked all the questions he could think of. Moon listened and tried not to think of some as ridiculous like, 'Is the Sun God allergic to water? Does the Moon Goddess sleep when the Sun God is sleeping? Are the Sun God and Mood Goddess lovers?'

The other questions asked made a bit more sense. She answered as clearly as she could and watched as Charles wrote down what was needed, before Benjamin made a comment that caused Charles to forget what he was just writing.

"I don't understand why you need proof so much, Charles," Benjamin leaned back on the couch, "The more you want facts and stuff, the more you won't be able to believe in things that can't be explained."

'Interesting…'

"Sir Benjamin," Moon looked at the man and he sat up taller, "Do you believe in the Moon Goddess?"

"Yeah, why not? There is no reason not to, right?"

'Hm… he believes but he is not devoted to me…' She inwardly sighed, but outwardly smiled. That was alright. She was sure there was more possible alphas for her to mark.

It was quiet once more and she waited for Charles to ask her more questions. Benjamin had his arm thrown over the couch and his fingers inched so slowly toward the female. Her energy was almost hypnotizing to him and he was surprised his nerdy brother didn't feel it too. Maybe because the guy was too far up his head, but still… How could he not feel it?!

"It is getting late," Moon stood up, "I thank you for your time and company."

"Mm, where are you staying, Miss Moon?" Benjamin asked standing as well, "I'll walk you. I'm known for my strength," he grinned.

"Oh? How strong are you?" She giggled to herself. No mortal was as strong as her dear alpha nor her dear brother.

"What? You don't believe me?" Benjamin laughed good heartedly and lifted her off her feet bridal style.

Her purple eyes widened before they crinkled as she grinned.

"Are you calling me fat, Sir Benjamin?"
