22. Tagging Along

Ann was stunned when she heard Zach's voice. His voice was low and seductive, carried a certain charm when he spoke. It was hard to ignore this type of man, especially when he was speaking at such low and charming voice.

One would definitely feel that they were having a huge bargain when they heard him calling them in such voice.

"Ah." Heri was stunned. He looked at his watch and nearly cursed. "You're right, Mr. Hein. Reynard, come with me."

Reynard's face was absolutely pale right now. He thought that he could finally enjoy a good dinner while talking about the martial arts skill that Ann showed to him not long ago, but he ended up bumping to his father.

Just how poor his luck could be?

While he was struggling, Ann walked beside him calmly. She was instead very interested in the so called meeting that Heri and Zach would have. It shouldn't be ordinary if someone like them were to participate, right?

"As for you…" Heri was thinking about what he was going to do with this adopted daughter. He certainly couldn't just kick her out like that because it would make it difficult for him to explain to Davis Family.

"Let her come."

"Mr. Hein?"

Three pairs of eyes were looking towards Zach. They were confused as to why this man would suddenly say that it was fine for her to follow them. Didn't he know how important this meeting was for their families?

However, Zach's expression was still as impassive as ever as he motioned towards Ann. "She can come along."

"But wouldn't it inappropriate?" Heri knew that the Davis Family didn't participate in this project, thus he felt that having someone from their family would be awkward. This business had no relation to the business Davis Family was doing, but it was still a confidential information.

Zach looked at Heri, his eyes deep. "She'll be my guest."

Heri was dumbfounded but Zach didn't give him any time to digest the information as the man had started to walk away. On the other hand, Reynard looked like he was so stupefied that he turned into a statue.

Reynard had interacted with Zach a few times because his sister's boyfriend was Zach's best friend. However, he had never seen Zach tolerating anyone like this.

In fact, he always felt that Zach was such a huge iceberg that it was impossible to thaw the ice in order to enter his eyes. There were many people who were trying to get on his good side, but they were all mostly thrown to the side because they were not worthy to be even talking with him.

Yet, now, he found out that Zach actually gave leeway to Ann.

Was this really their first time meeting?

"Master…"

"Yes?"

"Do you have any taming skill?"

Ann was stunned when she heard the question from Reynard. She turned her head and noticed that Reynard was looking at her with weird expression. Tilting her head to the side, she replied, "I shouldn't have any."

"In that case, how do you explain that...." Reynard really wanted to say how that iceberg suddenly care for her. However, he merely allowed her and let her be his guest. It was not really entering too deep.

But it was just… he found it hard to believe that the super strict and cold Zach would actually one day made an exception when he was facing Ann. The image was so different compared to the one that Reynard ever know in his entire life.

He really couldn't bring himself to look at that image at all.

"What is it?" Ann was confused.

"Have you met with Brother Zach before?"

"No. This should be my first meeting." Ann tilted her head, trying to comb through her memory. In her opinion, there was no way she could possibly forget a person as handsome as Zach. If she had met with him in the past, it was impossible for her to forget about him.

Reynard look at Ann as he felt chills on his back. If Zach had treated Ann very well even though this was their first meeting, how would it be when they meet each other in the future?

Somehow, he had ominous feeling.
