Ch. 24 Assembly

Fei had rushed back to the God realm. She wanted to get the meeting between all the Gods done and over with as soon as possible to return back to Ren. These meetings are mandatory for every God who has been sworn in to 'Godhood'. Naturally there are existences who have the same power but haven't sworn in. The reason for swearing in was because a Heavenly oath is taken to never harm or betray other beings who had sworn in.

Wars had plagued the God realm since its beginning. The God of creation came up with the idea of the oath. Over time it became a standard for all the elemental Gods. Every time an existence entered the God realm, no matter their power level nor elemental affinities they were asked to swear in. Some who had the highest level of an element were granted the title God for that element.

Fei, who was veiled, entered the massive palace where the meeting was held. She walked through the crowd of people and took her designated seat. To her right was a young girl who looked no older than 16, the God of the Wood element. Her element helped her keep her looks. To Fei's left was the God of Sound. She wore a full veil, nothing but her hands were shown. Not much was known about this God.

Fei asked the God of Wood "Do you know the reason for this meeting Guanyin?"

"Mmm nope! I hope it doesn't take long. It's painful to be away from my precious children for long"

"Hahhh I understand the feeling." Fei said in a low voice

"HUH? Fei do-does that mean???" Guanyin asked surprised

"Mn, Ren and I have a child together now. Her name is Rui. She is about a year old. She is much better than those plants you call your children." Fei laughed out

"Hmph! At least my children are solely mine!" Guanyin huffed

"You better be careful Fei. If any Gods that aren't sworn in hear about this it will be big trouble." The God of Sound blurted out.

"Heh no need to worry about that Sound Goddess, Nothing can touch my baby girl" Fei smirked

"Hey Fei, where is Ren?" Guanyin asked with her brows scrunched

"Ummm he.. He is lost in the void right now." Fei tried to lie but utterly failed

"Mmmm? Riiight..." Guanyin nodded

"After the meeting ends you two will join me back to meet Rui. No buts!"

Both goddess's nodded

"ATTENTION!"

"Today I will lead the conference. I'm the God of Fire Huo Zang. Thank you all for coming… Is what I would like to say. This meeting has been called because one of our most talented and powerful Gods has disappeared. We have not been able to locate him and his God stone has dimmed significantly. Ren Ji the Dark God has been missing for 6 years. I would like all of you to tell what you know about his habits and where he might be. Who would like to start?" Huo Zang asked

Fei went as stiff as a stone in her seat. Both Guanyin and the Sound Goddess looked at her with many questions.

Fei decided to stand up and tell a partial truth. "I am his wife Fei Ji the Light Goddess. Ren went out into the Void 6 years ago and has not come back. I worry not because he is definitely capable of handling whatever comes his way. You all know how he can be a blockhead sometimes or even get sidetracked with things until he succeeds. I understand he is a pillar for us all but fret not, he will return." Fei ended her speech then sat down again. She didn't want to have to answer anymore questions about Ren. She could barely tell lies.

"Alright, thank you for informing me, Light God." Huo Zang bowed his head briefly then continued. "We will be leading a search team for him into the Void. Myself, the Yang and Earth Gods have already decided to take action to find him. Is there anyone else who wants to join?"

Around 300 Gods stepped forward, There were no titled Gods in the lineup though.

"Ok, we leave tomorrow. This will be a long journey so prepare yourselves" Huo said then spoke to the crowd once again "Sorry for calling this meeting so abruptly. This matter is of huge importance. You may all return now."

"Phewww. I was slightly worried I'd have to answer more questions" Fei felt relieved

"So are you taking us to Rui now?" Asked Guanyin with the Sound Goddess by her side.

"Yes, we will leave now." Fei exited the palace then tore open space to go to the Immortal realm. Crossing two boundaries was possible but it would take immense energy. They each entered the tear, then Fei tore open space again. They all floated above a blue planet.

"This is Earth, My little Rui is here! Follow me." Fei flashed twice and arrived on Mt. Ji

Leading both the Goddesses to the entrance, Fei knocked on the door.

A Middle aged woman answered the door "Oh Fei! You have returned quickly! Wen and Rui are napping together right now. Ah! Forgive my impoliteness, I'm Lou Ji. You may both call me Auntie Lou if you please." Lou said with a warm smile.

"Nice to meet you Auntie! I'm Guanyin"

"Nice to meet you Auntie… I'm Qiu Rong"

Both Fei and Guanyin's eyes widened. The mystery Goddess of Sound finally said her name!

"Both of you better keep your mouths shut about this. I'm only doing this for Rui. How can her godmother not have a name?" Qiu Rong turned her head. She was slightly embarrassed as she hadn't used a name since her days as a mortal.

"Kekeke. Wait till Ren finds out about this." Fei chuckled

"That blockhead wouldn't dare speak another woman's name." Guanyin said unhappily. She had a huge crush on him but he was so brick headed that he never understood her signs.

"Hmph. As he should. He's mine!"

"OkOk, we get it! Take us to our beloved godchild" Qiu Rong was impatient.

"Un, This way" Fei guided them
