Deity 2.323

Viggo returned to Orario with Sara, Miriam, and their children.

Viggo advanced to the lead along with Ana and Sakura, driving the runic mounts. Viggo's large stature and mounts attracted attention. However, the other thing that caught the attention was the great entourage that followed him. There were a hundred carts with bodyguards and servants accompanying Miriam.

Viggo turned left onto the street that led to his father's house, on the edge of the blacksmith district.

Behind them was an elegant black carriage with golden edges pulled by four black steeds. Miriam's flagship carriage, where Sarah also went. They were supposed to follow Viggo, but the carriage went on.

Viggo noticed this movement, turned his steed, and followed the carriage. Once he was next to the carriage, the guards looked at him, but did not stop him. Viggo tapped a couple of taps on the window.

Miriam opened the window and showed her beautiful face with fine features and blonde hair —Yes?— she asked.

—I told you we would see my father first. Pedro can take the others to the mansion my wife prepared for you— he said while walking.

—Yes, but it would be better to prepare for such a great meeting—

Viggo frowned and said —Turn your carriage and follow me. I won't repeat it—

Miriam pursed her nose, closed the window, but did not give an order to change the route.

Viggo pursed his nose and moved forward on the side. He took out the leviathan axe and threw it against the sidebars. The horses were frightened, the carriage lost its thrust, and the animals rushed out. The carriage coach of the carriage froze and looked at Viggo with fear.

Viggo turned his horse and approached Miriam's window. He touched the glass a few times again. Inside the carriage you could hear the cries of Sarah's son and Miriam's daughters. The latter opened the window and looked at Viggo with annoyance.

—Come on, now— said Viggo.

—You are too impatient— Miriam replied, keeping her composure, but showing a clear discontent in her eyes —now you damaged the carriage. How do we travel?—

—I don't know, it's not my problem, hurry up—

Viggo stared at her, and Miriam held his gaze for a minute.

The guards and slaves in the back of the caravan looked at Viggo while the civilians and adventurers on the street wondered, what was going on?

Miriam let out a sigh and closed the carriage window. Viggo steered his mount away from the carriage and the carriage door opened. Then under Miriam, beautiful, blonde, glamorous, but with a cold and indifferent look. She looked up at the carriage that followed them and waited for a few seconds. Of course, Pedro, her faithful servant who has known her since she learned to walk, got out of the carriage, and walked as fast as he could. Viggo stared at them from a couple of meters away and watched as Miriam gave orders to Pedro.

There was only one thing that stood out, although Miriam was the princess of Opera Meilstora and the owner of the entire caravan, she was quite gentle and cordial to the old man. Pedro took Miriam's order and began to mobilize the servants to take the carriage and place it on the side of the street. Another group of guards went for the horses and paid for all the damages they might have caused by escaping. Finally, another group of servants to clean the carriage in which he was traveling to deliver it to his princess.

Miriam climbed into the carriage with the wet nurse and her daughters. Then she was followed by Sara, who carried little Diarmuid in her arms. Miriam gave an order to the coachman and the latter looked at Viggo. The latter looked at the coachman, turned around and continued down the street leading to his father's house.

Viggo did not do this for Miriam or Sarah. Not for the babies either, but for his father, who raised Jason and Odysseus. He should have the comfort that they left decendency in this world. Surely their father was happy and tried to train the babies when they grow up. Viggo felt that way, because now he was a father and could empathize with his father's pain at having lost his disciples. Even if Jason was over seventy years old when he died, Kain still cared about him, correcting his mistakes, and giving him encouragement.

Viggo could still hear his father yelling at Jason as he shed tears "Catherine would be proud of you" Viggo did not know this person, but according to his father, Catherine was the first person who believed in the strongest adventurers who ever set foot in Orario.

Once Viggo, Sakura, Ana, and the carriage arrived in front of Kain's house, they stopped. Viggo, Sakura and Ana got off their mount. Viggo vanished the runic steeds and waited until Sara and Miriam, along with their children, got out of the carriage. Then he takes them to the door, and they knocked a couple of times.

To Viggo's surprise, there was his younger sister, Eina. However, the emerald-haired little elf ran out while leaving the door open and shouting —mom, it's Viggo, it's Viggo—.

Then came Aina, one of Kain's wives along with Eina in her arms. The latter carried a bunch of keys in her hands while her mother looked at Viggo and the visitors who accompanied him. At first, Aina thought they were Viggo's wives. Even if the brunette woman looked humble in those robes occupied by desert people, she had a pretty face. However, considering the animosity of the blonde woman with a contemptuous attitude like Semiramis and the lack of eye contact with the brunette woman, she understood that it was not the case. It was more like a group formed by the circumstances of fate. Aina wondered, what Viggo was doing this time?

—Hello, Viggo— said Aina, in a soft, friendly voice. As the head of the adventurer guild, she had become accustomed to speaking in this cordial tone, even if it was with his family. Aina looked at her little daughter, Eina, and said —Give me the keys so I can open the door for your brother—

—I can— said the little elf Eina with emerald hair.

—No, give me the keys, please—

Eina pouted a little and nodded. She held out the keys to her mother and she put them in the fence – I knew you had come out. Are you coming to see your father?—

—Yes, auntie, I brought a couple of friends. He will be glad to meet them— Viggo replied with a friendly little smile.

Aina opened the gate and Eina threw herself into Viggo's arms.

—Viggo!— said Eina.

Viggo rushed over and caught her before she fell to the ground. Even Aina put on a frightened expression when she saw how reckless her daughter was. However, she breathed a sigh of relief as Viggo caught Eina.

Viggo hugged Eina and said —Don't do that, it's dangerous—

—Viggo can catch me— Eina replied with a big smile.

Viggo let out a sigh and smiled. Then he looked at his aunt Aina and then he looked back, he saw Sara and Miriam. He looked at Aina again and said —they are Sara and Miriam, they both worked for Aunt Hera—

Aina opened her mouth in a gesture of astonishment. As far as she remembers, everyone who belonged to the Hera family left Orario or joined another family. So, where did these people come from? The brunette woman, Sara, looked familiar, but she didn't remember the blonde woman much.

—Come on, auntie, it's a long story— Viggo said.

Aina nodded to Viggo's words, let them pass, and led them to the backyard, where Kain, as so many other times, was sitting under the apple tree that Hephaestus had planted so long ago.

Kain was sitting at a round table with a tablecloth. There was wine on his table and other delicacies. A crystal goblet was served with purplish wine. At the same time, Kain was reading a book. However, hearing the footsteps with his elf ears, he looked up, and when he saw his children coming in his direction, he smiled kindly. Viggo carried in his arms the little elf, Eina, with her rosy cheeks and a huge smile on her lips.

On the other hand, Kain paid attention to Aina, his wife. She still looked just as beautiful and young as when they met so long ago. However, Kain noticed the three people and the babies who followed him. One was a brunette woman in a black desert robe and the other looked like a princess in a red dress. Both very nice. Kain smiled uncomfortably thinking that maybe this was a slip of his son, and he would have problems.

—Hi Viggo, what are you up to, boy?— asked Kain with an awkward smile.

Viggo arrived in front of his father, tall, with white hair combed back, pointed elf ears and blue eyes. Viggo could read in Kain's expression What mess have you gotten into? Viggo smiled and let out an exhale by way of laughter.

—I went on a trip for a couple of days— said Viggo, stopping in front of his father and Eina, again, recklessly threw herself at Kain. However, Viggo, stronger and more prepared than his aunt, managed to hold Eina and slowly lowered her into Kain's arms. The latter received his daughter, gave her a small kiss on the forehead and sat her on his leg.

Little Eina, an elf with emerald hair and eyes, sat on Kain's leg as if she were the princess of a kingdom and was giving audience to her servants. She smiled confidently and dignified like a little empress even though she was six years old.

Viggo smiled when he saw Eina and then looked at his father. He looked young and if people didn't know, it seemed that Viggo was his elder brother. It was one of the benefits of being an elf. Viggo didn't get anything out of that and was just demigod and before long, God. He may stop aging when he achieves his first divinity.

—Father— said Viggo with a smile, stepped aside and pointed his arm at Sarah and Miriam, the smile on his lips faded and he continued in a soft voice —they are Sarah and Miriam, you could say they are the widows of Odysseus and Jason—

Kain looked at the two women. He could tell the tastes of his two boys. Sarah seemed a calm, serious and reliable woman, she should be the wife of Odysseus. There's no way Jason would have chosen a woman who would get him in trouble every time he steps off the sidelines. Only Odysseus would look for a woman as focused and serious as he was.

On the other hand, there was Miriam, a blonde woman with a temperament and air like Semiramis. She wouldn't stay with a man like Jason for all the gold in the world, but she could have an affair with the latter. Women like her could have two types of relationships: they got the right man, or they had several affairs without ever tying themselves to anyone.
