S'not what I thought...

Megumin drops to her knees and begins writing on the card with her snot, afterwards sticking it onto the barrier so they could see it...

"It's upside down." Charlotte says which only causes Megumin to get more frantic.

Michael has to hold down a retch as the girl scoops up the snot in her hand and attempts to write on the other side of her blank guild card, "Fine! But you have to promise to learn magic other than 'Explosion!'. No explosions without permission as well!"

"*Sniff!* I-I promise! I'll learn more, just don't send me back!" she shouts.

Tiffania nods, "Then, we'll accept you..." she says but is now far more reluctant to complete the ritual now that she remembered what else was required...

"Sis, don't you have to kiss her now? That's gross!" she says while pointing an accusatory finger at the snot covered Megumin...

'Was this how she looked when covered by toad saliva?' Michael inwardly questions.

Charlotte lets out a sigh and taps her staff, causing a nearby breeze to pick up and envelope Megumin, a *pop* later and the girl was free of her boogers and tears... Still, that didn't mean she was completely clean.

Tiffania steps through the invisible barrier and kneels down next to Megumin, "Be still, I hope you have had your first kiss..." she says, confusing the girl before Tiffania leans forwards and captures her lips.

"MMPH!?" Megumin yelps as she rears back out of the kiss, but her outrage was short-lived as a painful burning sensation appears on her chest. Not long after, Megumin was unconscious, and now officially Tiffania's Familiar.

"Did you have to kiss her on the lips?" Michael asks as he walks over.

Tiffania nods, "For Void Familiars, yes. Just don't ask me why, maybe it was something Brimir came up with to force girls to kiss him...?"

Michael chuckles, "It wouldn't surprise me." it was an ecchi harem anime after all. "We should get her cleaned up and notify the Arch-Mage of our new companion. He'd probably be upset with us if we didn't close the presence of a bomb in his College..."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two hours later and the group finally exited the Arch-Mage's quarters. Savos Aren hadn't been particularly pleased with them suddenly introducing a new student, though, Michael was sure he was more upset with the way she'd appeared than her actual presence.

He'd been watching their ritual via a scrying spell apparently, their precautions against the Daedra had no effect against regular mortals of Tamriel. He was pretty tame with his admonishments after they explained all the precautions they had taken however, the only real thing he would fault them on was not asking him permission to conduct the ritual.

To be honest, the man seemed pleased that they hadn't done anything expulsion-worthy, so after he'd given them a verbal lashing, he'd sent them to Mirabelle to properly get Megumi instated.

After all of this, Tiffania took the time to check what Void runes Megumin had received... Lífþrasir, the Heart of God, which was inscribed across Megumin's flat chest, just above her sternum. It was not an understatement to say that this was the worst possible one she could have received.

According to Brimir's Prayerbook, Lífþrasir essentially made its bearer a magical battery for the Void Mage to use. If the person lacked magic, it would use their life force. Fortunately, Megumin possessed 'some' magic, allowing Tiffania to use what little of it there was.

However, Megumin's magic reserves were slightly below average compared to most mages in Skyrim, which is why she could only cast a single 'Explosion!' before going limp.

This was not all Lífþrasir did though, the bearer could also stockpile their master's spells into themselves to essentially turn themself into a human bomb. Again, completely useless your Familiar was immortal.

When Megumin finally found out her 'endowed powers' she'd probably start crying again...

Still, that didn't mean there were no advantages to it. Particularly, Tiffania's research into Void Familiars would receive quite the boost now that she had another subject to study. Her topic of study now was actually the runes themselves, and how she might be able to eventually create her own. Something that Michael was looking forward to since he knew from the Anime that you could have more than one set of runes.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, Michael and Tiffania were stood next to Megumin's bed as the girl stirs to life. Her eyes blinked open and squinted at the bright blue light flooding in from the mana well in the centre of the Hall of Attainment.

"Good morning, and welcome to the club, fellow Familiar." Michael says, causing her to fully awaken.

"Fellow Familiar?" she questions, prompting Michael to slide his glove off to reveal the runes on the back of his left hand.

"Oooh!" she hums as a smile appears on her face, "What does yours do?"

"Physical enhancement plus proficiency with all weapons." he says simply.

"Sugoi... And mine?" she asks, looking over herself for the runes.

Michael coughs lightly into his fist, "Er, while I'm Gandalfr, you are Lífþrasir, the runes are on your chest..."

He says and the girl's eyes widen as she covers her chest, "I knew it! Rapists! Perverts!"

He raises his hands and shakes his head, "I'll leave you to this, Tiff. I'm not dealing with it." he says and leaves, shutting the door behind him, leaving the duo alone in candlelight.

"D-did he see...?" Megumin asks, looking at Tiffania, who shakes her head.

"No, only I saw. I had to check the runes you had."

...

"Promise? Because I was getting bad vibes from that plain guy... With just him and three pretty girls in his party, Riajuu go explode." she mutters to herself, momentarily taking a glance at Tiffania's prominent breasts.

"Michael's not plain though...?" Tiffania airily disputes, but Megumin decides to ignore it.

"What about my runes? What do they do?"

...

"Well..." Tiffania trails off, knowing this was going to be difficult to say due to her earlier words.
