The shadow sprit suddenly started to look like a crazy aberration in the system.
But it seemed to know something valuable compared to May.
Kara glanced at May and since she seemed to have some past relationship with the shadow spirit back in the past or something, he tempted May to ask.
'Tsk,' May thought.
"Erm!" May coughed, attracting the shadow spirit's attention.
There was a pause for a while, when the shadow spirit stopped laughing as if it just realized something important. With May looking at him, the shadow spirit turned his head and participated to a staring showdown with May and Kara.
The shadow spirit was quite amazed. It had been a long time since he saw eyes as beautiful as shadows.
The shadow spirit naturally knew what the two wanted.
But unfortunately for them, it was their time to go!
"Let us speak soon, very soon," the shadow spirit suddenly disappeared just like that, and Kara was transported out of Wein's mind out of force. May, as well.
Kara was shocked about that. How fast that just happened.
Seeing that he was already in outside world right beside Wein who had stopped his nightmares, Kara was quick to hide as soon as he heard the voices and steps of the approaching individuals who were searching for Wein.
Kara's shadow demon transformation had already been undone for a while, and he was no longer invisible. Thus, he left at that moment.
In great speed, he headed outside the orphanage.
'Kronel, the shadow spirit…' he muttered.
There was no denying the shadow spirit was like a deity. In Wein's mind, it was like a deity at most. But the important thing was it knew something!
---
Kara had already left the orphanage, and was sitting under a tree overlooking the town. He was conversing with himself. But in reality he was talking to May.
"What should we do now?" he asked the girl.
"Let's talk to Kronel again. Besides the fact that I was shocked to see him here and was actually awakened as well, it seemed like he knew something important."
"That's right. It seems like it."
"The key is that insomnia boy Wein. He's Kronel's host."
"Yeah, that was crystal. From what I heard from that lady of the cloth, Wein is going to visit Doctor An this afternoon to check if he had aptitude for magic. Well, we already know the boy is quite the blessed one, but we should go."
"I can't get out yet so you deal with that. Just meet the boy alone and I try to see if Kronel will talk to us." May said.
Kara wore a calm expression as he watched the town especially the orphanage closely from the tree he was leisurely leaned on.
Just then, his crimson eyes shone and his flow of magic activated.
"Summon."
As soon as he spoke that word, a wolf with dark purple aura emerged out of nowhere right in front of him and bowed to him.
"Watch the boy by the name of Wein closely from now on. Protect him from danger. Don't come back until I summon you again." Kara commanded to the wolf.
The wolf was obedient. It did a human like bowing expression, and stared at the orphanage with its dark purple cold eyes.
"Go," Kara said.
The wolf with the dark purple aura immediately left and after a few seconds of running against the ground, it turned transparent and went away.
After that, Kara continued to watch over the town as the windy afternoon soon swept past them.
The sun had gone to its zenith. And Lady Amy had already finished everything she needed to take care of in the orphanage.
"Then," She beaded goodbye to the caretaker of the orphanage and the two elder sisters.
"Take care," the other sister said.
Lady Amy bowed as she gripped the small palm of Wein who had already woke up. Wein could be seen to have woke pretty good. He still had dark circles under his eyes, but it must have reduced a little, right?
'I wonder what happened?' He thought curiously. After that, he bowed after Lady Amy and they left, leaving the other children in the orphanage.
"Why do Wein get to go to Doctor An with Lady Amy?" a child asked.
"Don't know." Lucian said, as he looked at his palms. For some reason, Lucian could feel something foreign inside him now. Something that grew and was now a part of him.
'The doctor said I could use magic soon, but when and how can I even do that?' Lucian thought.
Thinking of that would just trouble him. He put the thoughts to the back of his mind, and just saw the backs of Lady Amy and Wein heading to the road to the town.
Then he narrowed his eyes, and singled Wein as he thought, 'Wein, you better come back with good news!'
At the very same time, the lone wolf with the dark purple aura was closely following Wein from behind. It was extremely silent and was transparent, thus, no matter how anyone looked for it, it would not notice. However, something strange suddenly happened.
The wolf was suddenly intimidated.
"What is happening?" Kara who had been alarmed by what his S-Familiar getting agitated on was looking through the vision of the wolf.
And just then, the calm rays of the sun shone on the wolf, and there he saw the boy called Wein looking at his S-Familiar as if Wein could see it.
"Huh?"
The brown eyes of the brown haired boy then narrowed and turned to a cold stare.
Seeing Wein suddenly stopped walking with her, Lady Amy couldn't help but asked.
"Wein, are you all right? We could go tomorrow if you want." The worried lady offered.
Wein was silent for two seconds, before he pivoted his feet.
"Nothing, for a second, I just felt like there's someone following us." The boy said as they continued to walk.
When she heard her, Lady Amy laughed at the silly boy and said, "No way that's true. We really need you to get checked. Those nightmares you were having lately is not good at all."
"Hehe," Wein weakly laughed.
The path to the town from the orphanage was a vast plain. It was a field of potatoes, but most of it were untilled and just little grasses. So if someone was following them, there was no way they would not be able to see them.
Kara on the other hand decided to make his S-familiar retreat.
Thinking of the boy called Wein, he couldn't help but laughed from his position.
"That boy and the other boy Lucian. I wonder if they could become powerful enough to join the Summer Competition in three months." He said.
Kara had already stood from his position. He could be seen standing from the hill watching over the town with a calm expression.
The afternoon wind swept past him, and he couldn't help but grin.
'I need to talk to that shadow spirit soon.'
