Break And Join

Bauer, with his new Demon boost, defied physics as he materialized right behind William.

William, on feeling the gust of wind hit his back, turned his head at the same speed Bauer moved, which threw Bauer off his composure.

Bauer, who was thrown off of his composure, hesitated, making his attack miss his target's head and go for the extended arm William had put up for defense.

*SLICE*

*PLOP*

*THUD*

Jin's jaw went loose and he broke into a cold sweat as he witnessed Bauer perfectly slice William's arm.

He stood his ground, observing and anticipating a high shrill scream from the man before him who just lost his arm.

But...

To Jin's surprise and Bauer's horror, the next thing William did made them reconsider reality.

All William, who had just got his arm got sliced off, did was nod with a sigh.

He nodded his head sideways and closed his eyes and let out a small sigh of disappointment.

"Huff, Tch. That was a very poor murder attempt from your side Old man. Even when I diminished my defense to the lowest I could."

William spoke as if getting his arms sliced off was something he experienced daily.

In reality... it was something he used to experience daily. But no one other than the people from the cult knew about it.

Just as he finished his words, he walked off to his separated arm and picked it up with his right hand. He did all this while blood gushed out from his open wound.

And after providing a stare at his separated arm, William used it to reposition and ready his hair which had fallen over his eyebrows.

"What the hell are you doing?!"

Bauer's angry demon voice interrupted William.

"Huh?"

William questioned as he stood up with another one of his sighs of disappointment. The blood stopped dripping as if it was sealed forcibly.

"Just William Things. You wouldn't know"

He said with a grin.

Jin, who saw William do 'William things' took a step back. His confident face had soon shifted to something else.

His face was the perfect example of someone who was accidentally redirected to 'something mature' after accidentally clicking on an online ad, instead of the download button.

Bauer, who gawked at William, broke his last straw and out of control, which he already was, lunged for the kill.

Bauer was quick on his monster feet as he went in for William's right hand. With a quick swipe of his left elongated arm, Bauer thrust the arm William was holding from his hold and further on to his right.

And then with a quick shift, Bauer thrust his right arm straight at William's head.

William's facial features remained the same as he maintained the same poker face while dodging the incoming demon hand.

William turned to his right in a quick motion and dodged Bauer's attack, but he didn't just dodge, but his turn to the right had some other motive as well.

William scooped the separated arm which was flying away from him with his left leg, the soft tap with his boot brought the hand back to his hold within a second.

William grabbed it with his right hand and he pushed the momentum caused due to his spin to the right again to complete a perfect circle.

While he turned a circle, Bauer was taken by surprise as his sure hit attack missed and the intense momentum took him two steps forward away from his enemy, leaving his back open.

Just as Bauer turned back to face William, the fiery red haired man completed his spin and in that uniform motion, perfectly connected his sliced left arm which he was holding in the hold of his right hand to Bauer's jaw.

*BOOM*

The connection was so perfect that it exploded Bauer sideways into the other unscathed building and crashed his body deep into the edifice.

"Just as I thought. Easy"

William let out another sigh as he, in a single motion, attached his left arm back into the wound.

The separated arm perfectly joined back into the wound, it was as if it melted back to its place.

Jin observed all of this with widened eyes as he saw William wave his unscathed hand to him.

"He's so weak. It disgusts me"

William said as he took a step forward towards Jin.

Jin, who saw William make his step, stood straight and wiped out the horror from his face. He knew... He knew at that very moment, more than anyone, that he had to keep a tough face.

He balled his hands into fists and took his stance.

"Yo, Chill Kid"

William chuckled.

"You know I can kill you in a second"

He continued.

"And I would have if you hadn't caught my attention"

William said.

"So you want to survive right?. Then listen to me"

William said as he leaned against the unscathed part of the edifice.

"You, Kid. Kill that Old Man"

William said, gesturing into the darkness the broken edifice held.

"You, Kid. You can do that right?"

William asked...

With one of the most menacing grin, Jin had ever seen.
