Brenna’s struggles ceased. Everything had reached the point of no return. She looked over at the wolf lying on the ground as tears filled her eyes and overflowed. Numbness took over. There was nothing she could do. She wasn't strong enough to fight him off. She had given her all and it was not enough. No one was going to make it in time. All she could pray for at this point was death.
Creeper had turned his attention to his own pants. He began to fumble with the snap on them. The thought of being so close to what he had longed for the most was almost too much for him. His hands trembled with excitement. He was so intent on getting himself free of his jeans that he never heard the noise in the passageway until he was knocked off the cot and slammed into the stone wall.
