Arriving at Williamstown

As the chess game commenced I soon found myself entranced in the match. Achlys skill with his pieces was amazing. Every single one of his moves had a purpose. It was all a part of a scheme he was concocting 20 moves in the future. The problem revealed itself at this point. Drak was simply shit at chess. When Achlys finally checkmated his opponent, Drak flew into another rage.

[You God damn cheater. Tom, tell me he cheated. How did he cheat?] Drak said hysterically. He looked at me expectantly. I almost felt bad for him. The keyword being, 'almost'. Simply because this fucker liked to see me being miserable. Even if he meant well, he was still annoying. This was my chance to get back at him. I looked at Achlys and shot him a menacing smile which made the latter burst into thunderous laughter.

"Drak, there is indeed a problem. And a massive one at that." I paused and looked at him gravely.

[HA! You sir, have been caught!] Drak said while pointing at Achlys. His words cut Achlys laughter short.

{That's not possible. No-no-no, I didn't cheat.} he said with a shake of his head.

"Drak, I said there was a big problem, but it's not with Achlys. It's your head. There seems to be a few screws loose." I said before me and Achlys both burst out laughing. Drak's triumphant laughter stopped instantly. It sounded like someone had choked a rooster while it was announcing dawn. There was a silence in the space before Drak began to visible shake. A subtle rumbling could be felt. Me and Achlys looked at each other and began to sweat.

{"We're fucked"}

We said at the same time. We ran for our lives in the infinite space in my mind as the thunderous roar of an enraged Drak could be heard. This only served to make us laugh once more.

Several hours later I emerged from the space while rubbing my head. I was beaten black and blue by him when he caught me. I tried to leave the space, but I realised I didn't know how to. I was doomed to eternal suffering after that. But I made sure Ahclys suffered too. He wasn't getting away if I didn't. So, me and Drak went on to hunt him down.

I had to say, it was the most fun I've had in a long time.

After having my fun, I got dressed in my oh so wonderful Hawaiian outfit I had decided to run with from now on. The vibrant colours and patterns on the shirt never ceased to lighten my mood. It was working since I was no longer so cranky. I exited the hotel and walked to the parking lot behind the building and hopped into the car.

An hour and a half later I found myself in Boston Massachusetts. It was a relatively short flight. It took longer to get there due to the swarm of traffic in NYC. Boston was nice… but I had long grown tired of sightseeing. I really was sick of it. buildings, trees and more buildings. Oh, and a shit ton of cars. I was done. No more sightseeing in cities for a long time. I didn't stick around and instantly summon the car when I could and got Alfred to drive towards Williamstown which was where the school had their students gather. It was secluded as shit. The town was very rural and gave off an English vibe.

There must be a magical entrance that automatically sends you to the town. But honestly, I needed the time to practice my metal ability and rushing everywhere wasn't going to be of any use. There was nothing to do when I got there anyway.

I might as well enjoy the countryside that was the complete opposite to what I had seen a lot of lately. I think I prefered it too. Nobody yelling and screaming obscenities, no car horns in the middle of the night. It was peaceful.

The car ride was nice, I talked to Alfred the entire time while I practised. He was telling me stories about my great grandfather and his… strangeness. I then told him about England and about the things I did and would be doing there. When I told him about the Triwizard cup that was going to be held in two years' time, he became excited. The more I talked about the event the more excited I got as well. I liked competitions that involved magic. It was rare to be able to use magic and my wit to that extent.

But there was a lot to do in between then. I finally made some decent headway with my metal manipulation though. I was able to create a small doll-sized replica of Drak. Although the details were basic, it was much-much better than before.

As I celebrated my success I noticed that the road was getting slightly better, and a town soon came into view. It was old, but something about it made it seem cosy and welcoming. The scenery that encompassed the town was breathtaking. The grassy hills that extended as far as the eye could see, the nice, lush tree's that had vibrant jade-like leaves. The town seemed full of life that overflowed into the surroundings.

Naturally, I guessed that it must be due to the overly active magical presence in the town that attracted magical essence to the place. This naturally nourished the plants in the surrounding landscape as well. Well, it was a guess anyway.

I also saw a lot of people that you wouldn't see in a town like this. People dressed in overly pompous suits, children with expensive branded clothing. Expensive cars. It was quite interesting. It certainly looked out of place. But then and again, was I one to judge? Just looking at me one would think I was glowing with all the vibrant colours I had on.
