Biologist Elain Mavka is sent to a foreign planet recently named Miea.  A place where she gets free range to explore, document, and report the findings of site 27-43. Otherwise known as the Mushroom Forest. What seems to be beautiful and mysterious turns out to be just that. Where Elain is the first explorer to make contact with humanoid aliens. Though are they really the aliens when she is on their planet?

Her only company on this journey is young Milo Zephyr, who is still in his training wheels, and Selcouth, a companion she encounters soon after their arrival. Well, them and the strange feeling that they are being watched.

On another side of the spectrum, the older sister (Enya) of her infant brother (Kenton) are looking for a way to survive up in the station effectively named Head Quarters. Her with an assistant's job to keep everything in order on the ship. Then, with no explanation, there was a sudden blaring siren and flashing red lights. A guard she knew, who was a few years older than her, marches them straight to an escape pod. Sending them to a planet they've never known before.

The three of them landed on completely unexplored territory of this planet and it didn't take long for Enya to stumble into a nine-foot monster of a creature. Or, rather, it stumbled into her.

Enya let out a sharp hiss, waking up from the nightmare that had her sweating in her sleep. It was much darker outside then when she was resuscitated. The woman was still what she concluded to be the “Healer’s” tent. The flap at the entrance was just as open as it was after Mori’s hasty escape. 


Since she wouldn’t be able to go back to bed for a little while, she scooted to the edge of the bed. It was definitely made specifically for the alien’s kind and it was a little on the higher side. Not anything that would hurt her though if she were to jump down. So that’s what she did. It took her a moment to regain her balance, but her wobbly legs wouldn’t stop her from getting some much needed air. On top of that, she wanted to make sure that her little brother was all fine and dandy.
