I sniff

I began sobbing like a little baby, after the reality of it hit

Lucy was gone and now I'm losing my mind…

Mia…

Oh.. Mia…

The little time I have left will be spent alone

Almost on queue, the sky became filled with dark clouds and it began pouring almost like it sang the same song of my broken heart.

On the second day my blood stopped pouring

My wounds scabbed even despite the rain and I began feeling awfully tired

On the third day, when the sun finally set

Something fell out of the sky

The earth trembled, lightning struck the ground for hours, and thunder sent the people into a panic

Buildings crumbled to the ground and a raging fire engulfed the city

I made the effort with the little strength I had left to look up at the city of flames

As I watched in awe it became more apparent what it was

It was Lucifer. He was fighting with…

Michael…

I haven't seen him for… so… so long

I watch as Lucifer claws him aside before he began gunning it straight for me

Michael followed close behind

"Kara, Take My-." Micheal jumps on him and yanks him back before a set of wings sprout out of Lucifer's back

They dug straight through Michael like butter before spreading out, nearly splitting him in half

After Michael falls to the ground, Lucifer coughs and gags blood into his hands

Michael sits up and holds his side, hoping to stay in one piece

"Kara, t-take m-my hand, Kara." Lucifer offers me his bloody hand "I can save you. I'll take you off of this-."

"No!" Michael coughs "No! Don't listen to him!"

"You can have your revenge. You can have anything you want if you just-."

"Y-you… you did this… all of this… it was you." I sniff

"You made Mister Ignia sick. You made me kill my friends. M-Mia… you put those horrible thoughts into her head."

"N-no." Lucifer shakes his head "n-no it wasn't me. Y-you have to believe me."

"L-liar. You did all those horrible things to me. It was you."

"N-no Kara.." he tears up "no it was you, it has always been you."

"No! No, shut-." Before Michael could finish a loud burst of thunder cuts him off

"It was you, You came to Me, Kara. YOU lured Asura into that cave. YOU did those horrible things to her. YOU did it, not Me." He shakes his head

"N-no… no…" I huff

"YOU came to ME. It was only then that I realized… you and I… we were the same." He sniffs

I shake my head

It wasn't true. It couldn't be.

But something… was telling me otherwise

I had this horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach

I look down at Michael

What is he talking about?

Michael shakes his head

"It… it isn't your fault, Kara…" Micheal croaks

"He could've fixed us but instead He left us to fend for ourselves!" Lucifer cries

…

"He made us this way, but all He does is stand by and watch as His children tear eachother apart. He picks and chooses who he wants to help while the rest of Us suffer! So why should We be obligated to change?!"

…

"Kgh*" I grit my teeth

I had those same exact doubts from the very first time I stepped foot on this planet.

…

Even now. After all this, after not hearing a word from him for ages. Even after witnessing the evil in his creation I… couldn't do it…

Papa… I'm sure He has an explanation for all of this madness. I'm certain He can tell me why…

Why must I be trapped in this never ending cycle of pain?

…

"Kara… take my hand, Kara." Lucifer opens his arms "come to M-Me My Son."

I shake my head

…

"Why?!" He growls. "We're here now because of YOU! Have you not been listening?! You did this, all of this! You killed them! You killed Paris. You killed Ignia! You Killed Mia! Just like you killed A-Ghk" he chokes after Michael dug his blade straight through the back of his head and out his mouth

Pov.

-Michael-

-?+ years prior

I was stumbling through the hallways with the injuries I sustained during the battle with Lucifer

I turn the corner into another hallway with an iron door at the very end of it

"Michael. You bastard!" Lucifer tackles me from behind

He was missing his left arm and still had the hole I made through his chest

Except his spine had regenerated and was visible from my end

We wrestle on the ground for a moment until I managed to kick him off me

After I pull myself up we were going to get back at it when a sudden force sends us hurtling to the end of the hallway

"Kyyyaaaaaaa!" Asura cries from behind the iron door

I wanted more than anything to race to her aid but this force of hatred was so unlike anything I've ever felt that it petrified me with this inexplicable fear

It surpassed whatever Lucifer managed to muster so even he was unable to move a muscle

"Stop it, Kara! You're hurting me! It hurts!" She cries

The air quickly grew thin and soon enough I couldn't even breathe

"Please! You're going to kill it! You're going to kill my baby, stop it!" She begs "get off, get off please. Please, it hurts, Kara. Please!"

We tremble in fear for what felt like an eternity before her pleads finally stopped

Before Lucifer and I both realized we held our breath all that time we began coughing and gasping for air

I shove Lucifer's face into the wall and I stomp on his knee before racing straight for the door

"Agh! Michael, No!" He roars behind me as I kick the door down

I felt sick to my stomach the very moment I realized just how badly I had failed him

He was crouched over his sisters body which was laying in a boiling puddle of blood and semen, as he very calmly nibbled on what I can only assume was her heart

Kara himself had been completely skinned alive from head to toe

On top of that he had maybe tens of thousands of cuts and lacerations throughout his entire body

It very well went without saying that his finger and toe nails had been torn off

The cuts and burns on his face were very slowly but surely fading away unlike the rest of his body that didn't have that same luxury

He licked his fingers all the way down to the base as he finished devouring little Asuras heart

I creep towards him as he picked at her insides

Before he could pick out his next meal I crouch down beside me

I set my hands on his shoulder and I make him face me

"I'm here… Kara…" I sniff "y-you're safe now." I manage with a horrible knot in my throat

But he just stared into the space between his eyes and my chest

I pull him in

He didn't seem to have a single care that I hugged and squeezed him with all these injuries.

I just couldn't help but give him a long awaited hug

"I'm sorry I…" before I could finish I could very clearly feel his arm through my chest, holding my heart out the other end

But unlike any mortal creature All Father has created I didn't drop dead. Us Angels live to serve for all eternity so it simply grew back after he pulled his arm out

I slowly push him back as he squeezed it in his palm

"Why now?" He grumbles

"I-I didn't know where else to look. Lucifer hid you off into the infinite vastness of space." Some blood dribbles out of my mouth as I said

"B-but you're s-safe now. You can come home-."

"Liar!" Lucifer chokes at the door

"Our Holy Father will understand. He will help you. He will heal you."

Kara shakes his head

"Lucifer is right. I'm not like you, Mr. Gabriel, or anyone else."

"That isn't true. You just need help."

"This is what He wants. None of this would have ever happened if He didn't allow it… but He did."

…

"H-He has plans for you, Kara. You just have to believe a-and trust in Him."

"Plans? What plans revolve around an infinite… eternity's worth of torment?"

…

"He's right.. Micheal. I'm… I'm just like him… Papa… he won't take me back. He can't take me back..."

"N-no you… you don't deserve this. You were just a boy you didn't know better."

"But I do now. This is what I Am, this is what I've become… this is where I belong…"

No…

No there has to be another way

There has to be some way to convince him.

There has to be something.. anything I can say that could make him see just how important he is to The Father. How important he is to me…

But that empty look in his eyes. They have not known nothing but pain for God only knows how long. It killed any and all hope I had to try and convince him.

…

Maybe this is it. Maybe he's too far gone.

…

If that is truly so. Then maybe I can at the very least… salvage… his innocence.

I hold him still

His eyes widen as I trap him in my illusion.

I re-write all his past mistakes like the time he raped his sister. In his mind I had Lucifer trick her into luring him into that cave. I made it so that he never laid a finger on her during the endless years of torment. And above all else I made Lucifer to be the one to murder her in cold blood

Kara's eyes roll back

He coughs and gags until the evil that had built up in his heart spewed out his mouth in the form of a bloody fetus

It wiggles and jumped like a fish out of water as it grew and took the form of a 4 year old child who began weeping beside her dead mother

"No! What have you done?!" Lucifer trips over himself, trying to get to the boy

"No! No! No! All my hard work!" He cries "No, not my boy. You were finally ready!"

"In the Name of The Almighty Father, The Son, And of the Holy Spirit. You, Lucifer, Moloch, Chemosh, Dagon, Belial, Beelzebub, and.. Amaterasu…"

"You Sinister Seven, have defied the Heavenly Father and fallen from His Grace. For that you will roam the earth for the rest of your eternity."

"The Kingdom of Heaven will Forever be Far.. from your reach…"

…

"Hey.."

…

"Hyahahahaha!" I laugh hysterically before obliterating the earth around me

"Yes…"

After eight thousand years

I open my arms as I ascend to the sky

"I'm Back" I smile widely
