The Richman (Book 2 ) - The Begining Disaster

This morning, as usual, I tied a tie for my husband, but I did everything quickly. As soon as I finished tying the tie for him I had to get his coat, and I let him comb his own hair.

After that, I ran to my son's room to get all his school supplies. Yes he's been five years, almost six so we felt that he needed a wider social environment, so Aldric and I agreed to include him in the playgroup.

I went into my son's room and woke him up.

"Morning superhero, it's time to wake up. Your friends are waiting for you at school to play a superhero." I whispered and it wasn't long before George opened his eyes.

"Is it morning already?" he asked lazily.

"Well, your breakfast is ready and you should shower now," I said as I helped her out of bed and took her to the bathroom to take a shower.

Basically, George is not a fussy kid, he is quite independent and not a bother, it's just that because he is a boy so he likes physical activities such as running around the house, playing bicycle or scooter, and making a mess of the house with his lego and action figure toys which number in the dozens.

I chose the playgroup run by Emily Cooper. Although later I found out that he is Javier's distant cousin but I chose to keep the secret from Aldric. I'm afraid Aldric still holds a grudge against the man from my past even though we never see each other after that even or even contact him.

Emily didn't even know that I had a relationship with Javier in the first place. The reason I entrusted George to the school where Emily teaches is that some of my friends and acquaintances send their sons and daughters there. Before actually enrolling my son in that school, I also went to that place to do a survey and see the fun teaching methods there.

Nor did I keep him at school most of the day as his friends, Aldric would drop George off, and I would pick him up at noon. Well, at least we've been doing that routine for the past year or so.

I remembered something, about two weeks ago I came to school and spent the whole day waiting for George at school because I really didn't have anything to do that day until music class where another teacher was teaching ended.

I had a chat with Emily and I told her that I and her distant cousin, Javier are old friends. It started with a photo that Emily displayed on her desk. A large family photo, juxtaposed with several others and there was a photo of Javier there.

"Is he your husband?" I asked casually at the time.

"Oh no, he's my distant cousin. We don't see each other very often and it just so happened that he came over at Christmas last year." Emily said.

"Cousin?" My brows furrowed.

"Yes, do you two know each other?" Emily asked curiously.

"If the guy's name is Javier, I think I know him." My nod.

"Oh really?" Emily smiled broadly, "The world is so small, you even know my distant cousin." Obviously Emily.

"Em . . . it's been a long time, we haven't communicated." I really don't want to reminisce about the past with other men because my life is now so perfect with the presence of two handsome men, Aldric and George.

We chatted a lot that day but I tried not to mention Javier in our conversation. But I think Emily told Javier that she met me and my son at the school where she teaches.

Until two days ago a short message came on my cellphone and it was from Javier's phone number which I don't even save anymore but I already memorized the number even though I haven't contacted the number for a long time. But the four digits behind it reminded me of the owner of the phone.

After everything was settled, the morning hubbub shifted to the dining table as everyone had to eat breakfast before leaving the house.

"Your coffee sir." I brought a cup of coffee for my husband. He smiled at me and put down the newspaper. "Thanks", I got a kiss on my left cheek.

"And this is for you, sir." I handed a glass of milk to my little prince. "Thank you mom.", and I got a kiss on my right cheek as a gift.

"Here we go." I came with two plates of scrambled eggs, complete with bacon, and mash potato, one I put in front of my husband and the other in front of my son. They are like betel nut halved, George inherited his father's good looks and also they seem to like the same style.

"Scrambled eggs again?" Aldric looked at me, he seemed to protest because today's menu is the same as yesterday's menu. He wished breakfast could be simple with toast and coffee, but somehow I prefer to make them breakfast with eggs.

"Eat please," I whispered to him, George seemed to notice our behavior.

I turned to him, put down the plate with the same menu, and he immediately closed his eyes.

"Disasters," he said. Aldric smiled at his son, he could even protest in a more cruel way than his father.

"I made it with love darling, so just eat," I whispered to him, kissed his cheek, and then ran to the kitchen to prepare my son's lunch.

I decided to make a tuna and veggie sandwich today. After I put the last piece in the snack box, I returned to the dining table, then put it in George's bag. I saw that their plates were empty, and they were looking at me with the same look, their eyes sparkling.

"What's going on here?" I narrowed my eyes at the two of them.

"Dad said that the breakfast was not too bad, so he will give you a gift," George explained to me.

"Gift?" I furrowed my brows. What gift?

"Come," Aldric asked me to approach him, and I did. Then he hugged me, gave me a kiss on the cheek, in front of my own son.

"He's a big boy, don't do this in front of him," I whispered in his ear, Aldric glanced at George who seemed to be covering his eyes with his hands.

"Done." Aldric gave the signal and immediately George opened his eyes.

"You make me jealous dad! Momy comes to me please, I wanna hug you too." Oh, my little gentleman is so good at babbling, I don't know whose character he is from? Me or his father.

"Sure, dear." He hugged me, kissed me many times, but his eyes were on his father.

"You feel jealous dad?" I laughed, oh apparently they are competing to make each other jealous, here I am the one who benefits the most, I get the love of the two men I crave the most in this world, my husband and my son.

"Oh, you kiss her too much, I feel very jealous." Aldric rubbed George's head as he carried him out of the house. Yes, they should leave immediately if they don't want to be late.

I'm going to visit Ben and Leah's house to check on Daddy's condition. Three days ago he decided to stay at Ben and Leah's house for some time. He intended to reconcile the heated conditions between Ben and Leah because of child problems.

I put George's bag in the car and closed the door. Aldric and George sat in the back seat while our driver drove their car this morning. Aldric said he was reluctant to drive this morning so he asked the driver to drop them off.

"I'll pick up George when I get home from Ben and Leah's." I looked out of the window that was intentionally still open.

"Ok," Aldric replied curtly once again.

"Take care, I love you both." I stepped back and waved my hand.

"I love you most." Aldric waved.

"No Dad, I love mommy most." George didn't want to lose. Then suddenly they act like they are playmates, Aldric and George seem to be playing war, I don't know what it's called, but they seem to be pretending to attack each other. I smiled at their behavior. Soon the windshield rose, and the car turned out of the parking lot. I went back into the house.
