Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 5-Alessia

As the speaker proclaimed the supernatural being I was bound to assassinate, I just stood there motionless. Suddenly, all of the students began shouting and making a disturbance. Even Noah was taken aback by the outcome.

"THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!! PACK 6 IS ONE OF THE RAREST TO DISCOVER, LET ALONE KILLING THEIR ALPHA!" A student blurted loudly. Others began to concur with the assertion almost immediately.

"TRY AGAIN!" IT'S MADE A MISTAKE!" Another student erupted. During a minute of debating, the woman screamed for everyone to be silent.

"I hear that this is the first time a student has been selected to kill a Dire Orchid Alpha, so we'll try again and see what happens." With her eyes fixed on me, the woman stated.

As kids behind me muttered against me, I was handed a fresh bowl and knife and proceeded again. I sliced my palm delicately and let the blood flow into the centre. I turned to wait for the outcome as the charcoal bowl began to emit a white colour. The findings arrived after a minute of waiting.

"DIRE ORCHID...ALPHA 6-RANK!" The speaker roared. The woman approached me and congratulated me before telling me to return to my seat. I caught a glance at her Id and saw her name as she did this. The badge said, Devora. People in all directions murmured and pointed cruelly at me as I moved towards Noah. To say that was awkward would be an understatement. Why did I have to carry so many responsibilities and make so many decisions?

"Wow, that was something," Noah exclaimed, surprised.

With a sigh, I murmured, "Trust me."

We were taken to our lectures for the rest of the year after the final pupils received their results. As we proceeded towards our classes, my hands were trembling wildly, and students were continually staring at me. I tried everything I could to keep it under control, but it just kept mounting up inside of me. Students began to settle in their courses all of a sudden, which both Noah and I thought was unusual considering today was admission day. I approached Devora and inquired about what was going on.

"Why are we heading to our classes so quickly, Ma'am?" With a puzzled expression on my face, I inquired.

"Now that initiation is over, Ms Aldine, we need to get these students ready to annihilate supernatural entities and learn about the supernatural world!" She clarified the situation. She then proceeded to go forward, directing each student to their appropriate new classes.

"My first class is enchantment," I explained, "so we won't be in the same class." Noah smiled as he gripped my shoulder.

"I'll meet you later ok?" He stated his request. Just as he was being escorted to his classroom, I gave him a gesture. He was gone with a single smile. We continued strolling through Division 5 although there were just a few pupils who remained. Micheal was fortunately in a different class, which eased me a little because the last thing I wanted was that lunatic in my class.

"This is your enchantment class 5, students. Please take a seat with a partner." There should be one boy and one girl at each table, no exceptions for any of you," Devora remarked sternly as she looked at me.

I stepped carefully into the large classroom, which had triple pendant lights hung from the ceiling, casting a soft blue glow throughout the room. Each station was set up like a research table, complete with high-tech equipment and electron microscopes. Massive apparatus, which appeared more magical than human, was situated on the sides. Because I was the last one in the classroom, I didn't have much of a say in who I sat with. I scanned around the classroom for a spare seat and was fortunate enough to find one at the end of the lab. There was already a young boy who appeared to be 19 seated? He had soft dark brown hair that was nicely groomed and pale skin with grey eyes. The teenage boy was dressed in a long checkered t-shirt, black jeans, and black sneakers. Amazing wings of an animal I didn't recognise hung from his neck. A circular tattoo adorned his arm. I approached him with trepidation and inquired if the seat was taken.

"Is this seat occupied?" I inquired. He responded by tilting his face towards me.

"No, it isn't," he stated emphatically. Because I didn't have any other options, I sat down and double-checked that there was enough room between myself and him. I turned around after pulling all of my books out to see that a professor had come. Her height was average, and she had blonde hair and fair skin. Her clothing was complemented by a night white lab coat, which she looked stunning in.

"Welcome! I'm Dr Verlice, and for the remainder of the year, I'll be your enchantments professor. "Please take a close look at your seat and the person you're sitting next to since this is permanent," she added. We began our initial lesson after her thorough introduction, which I was quite looking forward to. We learned about mythical creatures that resided allegedly behind the barrier and were occasionally discovered in Mystic Forest. After writing all of my notes in my book, I discovered that I had some free time after the two hours. I took out my sketchbook and resumed the drawing I had started previously. When I was almost done with the characters, an idea came to me. By the lake, on a cliff, I started the initial drawings of a wolf howling at the full moon.

"Nice drawing," said the boy sitting next to me.

"Thank you," I murmured as I hastily stashed the sketchbook. I dashed out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang, desperately wanting Noah. We stepped out of Division 5 and into the cafeteria just as he came out.

He inquired, "How was enchantment class?"

"It was fantastic; I took a lot of notes that I'll have to read later!" I responded. We laughed as we came into the cafeteria and were greeted by a blast of chilly air right at the entrance. Noah and I proceeded to floor 3 after quickly getting our usual drinks and snacks from floor 2. We sat in the back row's furthest seat and drank our beverages. Noah stated how uncomfortable it was to have a partner and how they didn't speak to each other for the entire two hours.

"How do you feel about it?" What kind of partner did you have?" He inquired. Just as I was about to answer his question the boy from enchantment class emerged to floor 3 and sat a couple of rows in front of us. We locked gazes for a brief moment before I turned back to face Noah, who was asking me the same question.

"Oh, nobody really," I mumbled. We sat there as I reviewed my enchanting class notes. Just after 15 minutes were up, we moved on to our next lesson, which was, of course, Aviation Class, which Noah appeared to be interested in. I was still revising my notes as we headed down the stairs and accidentally ran into the boy from before. All of my books were tossed on the floor, creating quite a mess. I was about to pick them up, but we collided and fell to the ground just as the boy was about to do the same. Why? Just why?
