Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 19-Alessia

I was taken aback by what I saw as soon as I stepped out of the portal. I was on the outskirts of the neighbourhood. I scanned my card slowly and walked in, each step fearing the next. When I got to Section 1, I strolled over to my house and cautiously opened and closed the door using my keys. I took a deep inhale and realised that I wouldn't be able to evade Dad indefinitely. Slowly, I carried all of my belongings to my room and collapsed on the bed, my brain still trembling with thoughts.

The recollection of me and Aiden in front of the river appeared to have the most influence on me. Suddenly, sleep overtook me, and I drifted off right there. My alarm clock abruptly began to blare, startling me awake. I hurried through the bedroom and quickly put all of my belongings away before taking a long bath. When I was finished, I decided to wear Olivia's outfit with a jacket. I sat on my chair, staring into the mirror. I had just finished putting my hair up in a high ponytail and applying some cream when something caught my eye.

The diamond necklace Aiden had given me sitting on my desk. I reluctantly took it in my hands and glanced at it for a few moments. Then, as tears streamed down my face, I wrapped the necklace around my neck, clutching it securely. I slowly walked down the stairwell with all of my books in my bag, including the bag of crystals and magic books, hoping not to see Dad. Before heading out the door, I quietly walked into the kitchen to grab a croissant and a cup of coffee. I exhaled deeply, relieved that he wasn't there and that I had managed to avoid him for the time being. As I waited on the porch, I took out my phone and dialled my driver's number. He arrived after a 5-minute delay. Fortunately, he only brought a black Cadillac today, which satisfied me. I told him to drop me off at the Academy as I walked inside clutching my books in my hand. Aiden was all I could think about the entire way. Was it wrong that I had feelings for him? I tried everything I could to keep them hidden, but they kept breaking through.

My driver stated, "Ma'am was here." I walked out slowly, a grateful smile on my face. I approached the Academy, where everyone was gathered around what appeared to be a whiteboard. I forced my way past all of the students, stunned by what I saw. Ms Eldrod appeared to have died as a result of a homicide. At that very moment, I was rendered speechless.

"Do you have any idea who did it?" A girl stood near me, heavily wearing layers of makeup and adorned in striking colours. I could sense she was a popular student right away. Suddenly, one of her companions began staring at me and whispered. After hearing them claim that I could have done it because I had been gone for three days, I gradually moved away. Fighting back the tears in my eyes.

As I approached Noah in the Cafeteria, my heart was pounding.

I realised why he was seated on Floor 3 with a horrified expression on his face. When he saw me, he dashed over to me and hugged me tightly. As I saw puddles collect on the floor, tears streamed down his cheeks. I hugged him back, knowing there was something wrong.

"What's the matter, Noah?" I asked, my voice apprehensive.

"I thought something had happened to you," he said as he backed away and wiped his cheeks. I smiled as I slowly handed him a tissue from my bag.

"I'm fine. Nothing happened to me." I strolled over to a chair and sat down, admitting that I was gone because I wanted a break as I held his hand tightly.

"Everyone knows, Alessia," Noah remarked as he stood before me.

"Knows what?" I inquired, surprised.

"Alessia Micheal announced to everyone that you're marrying him," Noah explained. It made complete sense. I couldn't believe what my father was doing, but it was enough.

"Noah, it's a forced marriage, and I'm never going to say yes," I said angrily with smoke fuming from my ears.

We stayed there for a while, and I cheered Noah up by telling him about the crystals, and he was back to his old self in no time. Knowing that I had a friend who cared about me lifted my spirits seeing as though most people just used me and left me suffering.

"Should we get something to drink?" I asked him. I was in desperate need of a drink right now.

"Is that a statement or a question?" As we cheered our way to Floor 2, Noah responded with a laugh. When we arrived, I got our beverages and we began walking to class together. As I walked to History, I was immediately interrupted by a shout from behind.

"Alessia!" Someone yelled, and my entire body erupted in rage as I whirled around. Micheal began to walk in front of me, his face contorted with a horrible grin.

"You've returned!" As I and Noah began walking, he cheered and stepped in front of me.

He said as he grabbed my arm clutching it tightly, "You listen when I'm talking to you," and I had had enough. I took his wrist in my hands and twisted it so hard that I heard a bone snap.

"You, you little..." Micheal hesitated as I slammed a punch into him so hard that he slumped to the ground, groaning in pain.

"Learn from this," I yelled as people stared in disbelief at what had occurred. Micheal rose up as I began walking, but just as he was about to strike me, I punched him in the face, knocking him out.

As Noah and I began going towards Division 1 for History, I said, "Don't ever touch me again.".

Sipping my beverage in pleasure.
