Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 22-Alessia

I couldn't sleep that night, knowing that Dad may walk into the room at any minute with a crossbow and kill me. The following weeks flew by in a blur. Without Noah, the Academy was a nightmare, which made me even more uneasy. Logan was avoiding me for some reason, and there were days when he wasn't even here. When I was at home, time seemed to speed up far more. Dad was acting irrationally, so I had to suppress my emotions once again. Now and then, as I breathed in, all of the lights in my room would violently flicker and the doors would all slam open.

One morning, I awoke with a sickening ache in my stomach. I told Dad, but he didn't care and instructed me to go to the Academy, which started to infuriate me. When I arrived, I felt uncomfortable. Without Noah, I felt alone in this place, where everyone stared at me from every angle. Finally, after a long History class about some supernatural creature called the Phoenix, I went to the Cafeteria to get my usual drink, and when I arrived, I was surprised to see Logan sitting at a table, his drink untouchable. I sat next to him after obtaining my drink.

I smiled at him, but all he did was give me a nod. He abruptly left me speechless before I could even respond. After that, I headed to the library in the hopes of doing some more Ravana research, but there were far too many people there. Suddenly, an idea occurred to me. I dashed to Floor 3 of the Cafeteria and entered the small closet that Noah and I had discovered earlier. Fortunately, the key was still inside the door, and it didn't appear to have been used in a long time.

It looked fantastic after several minutes of cleaning and decorating. I took a seat and started reading the magic book Olivia had given me. The crystals dropped to the floor as I took stuff out of my bag. As memories of that night surfaced, I was overcome with melancholy. Dancing, laughter, and the view of the river ahead of us. I looked at my phone and realised that I just had a few minutes until lunch was over and I needed to hurry to enchantment class.

I frantically searched the magic book for the invisibility spell Noah had cast on my artwork. I gradually began to remember the spell I required to veil the room. I stood up and recited it aloud after memorising it. Suddenly, a sphere appeared within me and spread across the closet walls, glowing a vivid blue colour with the final word. I exclaimed with joy as I realised the spell had worked. With a smile, I took the artwork from my bag and hung it on the wall just before I left. And with that, I gently walked out of the room and into enchantment class.

When I arrived, I was overwhelmed with dread at the idea of being able to sit next to Logan. I looked around the room and realized he was sitting in the rear seat. Slowly, I approached him, and without saying anything, I sat down and pulled out my books. I had a clear idea of what I needed to do. All I had to do was ignore him.

I wasn't going to force Logan to talk to me if he didn't want to. Just as I said that Ms Verlice roared at us, that we were going to experiment with our pairs. Slowly, I put on my lab coat and goggles and walked over to Ms Verlice, who was demonstrating how to cast defensive spells. When she made one, everyone gasped in astonishment as a force field encircled her.

Ms Verlice cheered as she said, "Now pupils in your pairs do the same." With trepidation, I began to consider what Ms Verlice had stated. With ease, I began to generate a force field with my hands.

Suddenly, a vast force field encircled me, and everyone in the room gasped.

"Wonderful job, Alessia!" Ms Verlice was ecstatic. Suddenly, I noticed Logan attempting, but failing, to build one.

"Need help?" In hushed whispers, I inquired.

"Sure," he answered as he tried again, this time putting the potion on his palms. Devora walked in just as I was going to assist him shaking ever so slightly and sweaty like crazy.

"Hello, I need to speak with Ms Aldine," she said as she stared at me her eyes looking at my soul causing me to shake. As I began to pack my belongings and move to the back to store my lab coat and goggles, most eyes were on me. Ms Verlice abruptly stopped me as I was going to approach Devora holding me by the shoulder in such a rough manner that it seemed unnatural.

"Alessia, I need to speak with you," she said quietly as I left the room.
