Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 38-Alessia

Aiden was struggling to get their attention, but their focus seemed to be transfixed on me, so my heart was pounding. As more arrived, explosions and flames erupted everywhere, and I was instantly surrounded by hundreds of vampires with fangs hungrily awaiting blood and Prussian blue eyes filled with wickedness. The shadowy crowds in the sky began to thunder inexplicably as they ignited a black colour. They all began yelling as they approached me, but I swiftly produced a force field just as they threw themselves at me, and some lost balance, but others exploded, splattering blood on my face.

But as I glanced at my force field, I was taken aback by how intense it appeared, with its brilliant light burning my eyes.

"It's my turn," I said as I snatched chunks of wood from the stage and sprinted. As their blood streamed on my face, I sprang to my feet and began stabbing tens of Vampires. As more arrived, I continued removing chunks of wood from the stage. I knew this battle was going to happen but the more I thought about it the more it frightened me. They began to surround me all around me, they all blazed on flames, giving the appearance of a massive wildfire, but as some perished, others continued coming, and that's when I created something new drenched in blood.

I started producing a giant spark in my palm, which then erupted in the sky, causing hundreds of Vampires to burst in anguish. An earthquake struck the earth shortly after they had perished, knocking me off my feet and creating huge jagged pieces all over the ground as if a monster had opened its mouth hungrily. After I awoke, alarms flooded my ears as I realised what I had done and the consequences it had on the event. Suddenly I turned to gaze at the ring which was bathed in a brilliant gold hue. Was this the reason I was able to slay so many vampires and give me all that power? Aiden rushed over to me and grabbed me up right away trying to make me stand straight which was pretty difficult.

"That was incredible," he said, surprised. As the smoke began to enter my lungs, I began coughing in discomfort as the chemicals began to affect my lungs. Aiden immediately grabbed my hand and led me to my car which was luckily close by.

When I turned back, the entire memorial was in ruins. All of the flowers caught fire and fell to the ground in devastation burning to a crisp. The stage was destroyed as Devora's portrait burst into flames with granite smoke lingering in the air as if it had been devoured by a ferocious beast. Aiden then started walking me towards the car, instructing me to wait while he went to collect Olivia and the others with a troubled look on his face knowing that his pack came first. I immediately reached into my bag and pulled out a water bottle to sip from hoping that my body would cool down from the fight. Logan walked up to me just then and gave me a startled expression.

"You ok?" With a disturbed expression on his face, he inquired as he began to approach me.

"Yeah," I responded, coughing profusely and in excruciating discomfort.

Logan handed me a handkerchief and said, "Take this." When I coughed inside, dark blood appeared instantly with a grainy substance I was unknown of. I gazed at it in disbelief, realising that the power was becoming too great for me to handle.

"Is that blood? Logan inquired, his face pressed on the tissue.

"No. Thank you," I responded, slipping the tissue into my pocket and smiling at him.

"Alessia I can see the blood on the tissue" Logan admitted with a shocked expression.

"It's ok Logan" I whispered coughing once again trying to make it sound less serious but I knew it sounded awful.

"Alessia let me take you to the hospital," Logan urged as he held my hand in comfort.

"It's ok Logan. Please be alone" I asked him feeling tired. Slowly I removed my hand away from his grasp and instantly he looked as if I smacked him in the face.

"Alessia, I'm trying to help you," Logan said with a sad expression.

"I don't need your help, Logan. I just…I want you to leave" I mumbled knowing what I had just said to one of my closest friends.

"Oh...I see how it is. Get home safely Alessia," Logan whispered as he kissed my head and produced a weak smile as he walked away with small tears falling from his eyes.

Just as I brought out my keys and was about to walk inside I noticed a shadow behind me. I turned around to discover a masked man standing in front of me, his face tilting in amusement for some reason he reminded me of a character from a circus with a long flowing cloak and a luminous knife inside his pocket engraved with symbols I knew were familiar. Before I could say anything, he slipped a wet towel over my lips as I screamed in terror trying to let go. Suddenly the liquid began to touch my lips and it instantly affected me causing me to go unconscious. My last memory was of how I broke Logan's heart and how he pushed me away.
