Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 41-Alessia

With Noah's words still echoing in my ears, I gripped his hand for as long as I could hoping an answer would appear for all my problems. Then of course my mental health comes in.

It's that day of drowning, the chilly wash that only I can feel this time. I'm not in the mood to get up. I'm not in the mood to move. And it takes all of my power at that time to make the right decision, to reach for a glass of water, and to take a breath - that's my happy music playlist. It gives me the thoughts I need, that I am someone worthy of love and joy. The first few tracks are difficult. They expose the tears in my soul, yet how would the soul survive without them? As a result, I allowed them to beckon to me and bring the salty rivers to me. This is how I keep myself alive. This is how the universe communicates with me and informs me that good thing is on their way. Slowly I opened a bottle of Tequila and began drinking huge amounts of the liquid filling my body with pleasure & calmness. After I finished drinking the entire bottle I smashed it onto the floor in angry trying to understand what I needed to do.

"Noah, I'm in desperate need of your help. Please return to me," I said softly as I let go of his arm and headed towards my bed sitting down on the plush mattress and breathing in. Dad suddenly entered the room with a wicked look on his face, wearing his black suit with four maids by his side all wearing beautiful black and white dresses.

"It's time to have you married," he exclaimed as he walked up to me and tucked a veil into my hair and over my face. He then thrust a little bunch of flowers into my hands and threw his arm over my shoulder. He began gripping me forcefully and inflicting pain on me. Suddenly the maids began tidying up the tremendous dress and holding the layers at the back and it seemed quite ridiculous.

"Do anything, and I'll make sure you and Noah suffer?" As we were leaving the room which took 3 tries to get the entire dress out the room, he whispered. As I realised what was going on, adrenaline began to rush through my veins. I was set to marry someone who had assaulted me and only brought darkness for me. Cameras soon began clicking as I strolled down the staircase.

Tears welled up in my eyes as we approached the stairwell, which was illuminated by hundreds of lights. As we headed down the steps, I noticed at least 200 people seated for the wedding that was meant to transform my life. I nearly rushed up the staircase whilst Dad went calmly towards the Wedding Arch. Michael stood there with a grin on his face, knowing what was about to happen. As we began strolling to the wedding arch a musician began playing, playing as if the room was empty except herself, as if she were practising alone and we were her bedroom mirror. that's what had me captivated. It was as if her soul had become tangible in a way I'd never experienced before.

As we approached Michael, people muttered, "She looks very gorgeous."

I cautiously slipped my hand within his, and photographs were shot almost immediately. The flower girl was the prettiest petal of the wedding, a pure spark of joy upon a darkening day as she dissipated roses all over the ground her grin divinely infectious to family and friends. Suddenly, Dad approached us, and I knew right once that he was going to be the one to officiate the wedding. Michael pulled the veil away from my face and gave me a disgusted scowl as he noticed the marks on my neck were not visible.

Slowly, Dad began to speak, and my mind began to race with Noah-related thoughts. I needed to make a decision but how could I choose? My heart suddenly stopped as I looked over the crowd and noticed a line of Vampires towards the rear of the house, their Cider eyes fixated on me.

"Oh gosh," I thought to myself, as the flower girl placed a ring in my hand, and I turned around to see Michael slip a ring on my finger. With Dad talking in my ears, I began to do the same hesitantly.

"Remember Noah, you little wrench," he said, a phoney smile on his face. With tears in my eyes, I slowly placed the ring on his finger, and everyone began to cheer loudly and cameras began to take pictures.

"If anybody has a rejection to this wedding, please speak now or forever keep your peace," Dad said just as the house reverberated causing a huge crystal sculpture to smash to the ground. Michael suddenly grabbed my hand and yanked my Bloodstone ring from my finger.

"What are you doing with this ridiculous ring?" He growled and flung it into the air.

"NO!" As a massive gateway appeared in the centre of the house, blasting everyone to the ground, I shrieked. I stood up and gasped as I saw how was waiting for me. Aiden, dressed in the black suit I'd given him, stood in front of the gateway constantly creating beautiful orange sparks.

He had my ring in his fingers, and I rushed towards him, but just as I got close, my father seized me and smacked me across the face so hard that I dropped to the ground my face aching with pain.

"Aiden..." I murmured as I tried to approach him, but Dad grabbed my arm and tried to bring me back to Michael.

"Bring my wife back to me!" Michael roared as he began pointing towards me as if I were his toy to play with. Everything inside of me began to boil, and as soon as I was close to him, I smacked Dad across the face and wrapped him and Michael in a circle of red flames creating small portions of smoke. As I watched Dad's entire dream disintegrate before his eyes, I couldn't help but laugh (Yes I might have looked like a psychopath but I didn't care). I dashed over to Aiden, sprang into his arms, and kissed him in front of everyone.

I muttered, "I love you," as he removed the ring Michael had placed on my finger and replaced it with the Bloodstone ring.

"YOU DISGUSTING ABOMINATION, YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!" Dad yelled in an attempt to flee the flames, but they were too powerful and high. As soon as Aiden and I entered through the portal, we have whisked away to my room. I spelt the door shut in an instant. As we turned to witness the maid from before trying to inject Noah with some type of liquid, Aiden and I shouted. I set the syringe on fire right away and crumpled it to the floor.

I cautiously took a large vase and smashed it across the woman, knocking her to the ground. Aiden was astounded. I ran towards my bag and crushed a crystal on the floor in the process.

"Take Noah inside first," I said as we pushed his bed through the portal, and he was suddenly protected. He then asked me a question whilst holding my bag with Aiden by my side.

"Do you have everything?" As he peered into my eyes, he questioned. Slowly, I approached my nightstand and slid Mom's picture inside my bag, along with everything else I needed.

"Yes," I murmured as Aiden entered the portal. These brick walls have been my cocoon for the years I needed their sanctuary, and I thank them. My eyes wander their rugged clay surface, their rosy colour bright yet earthen. My hands feel the warmth of the sun, imparted to them yet given back with a steady determination. Leaving home was never going to be easy, yet I take these emotions with me, these memories of comfort and joy. Goodbye can be easy. Goodbye can shatter a soul. Yet therein exists the proof of real bonds. With that, I set fire to the entire room, destroying my old existence and establishing my new one.

Before finally, I stepped cautiously inside the sparkling portal where my new life was waiting for me...
