Hidden Fantasy-A Werewolf's Obsession

Chapter 46-Alessia

Just as Noah was going to say anything, I sprang from the bench and hurled myself at him. Tears welled up in my eyes as I realised I'd broken the promise I'd made to myself about healing Noah. I mumbled faintly, trying my hardest to keep strong while hugging him tightly.

As a puddle of tears began to emerge on Noah's shoulder, I whispered faintly, "I'm so sorry." With a startled look on his face, he drew me aside and put his hands on my shoulders.

"Alessia, what do you mean?" He inquired, his brows arched slightly, in a questioning tone.

"I was unable to help you. I promised I'd do it, but I never did" I mumbled as I struggled to find the right words.

"You did exactly what I asked of you. I'm at peace because of you, and now I'm with you," he stated with such anguish that I was taken aback. As I resumed my inquiry to Noah, we immediately sat back down on the bench.

"What do you mean?" As I placed my hands on my thighs and closed my fists tightly, I inquired.

"Alessia You aren't supposed to be here. The only reason the supernatural war hasn't broken out yet is because of you, but now that you're dead, everything is going to fall apart like a ripple effect, slaughtering everyone," Noah stated as it slammed me. He was correct; without my meddling, the Vampires would bring down the entire world as they had anticipated.

"I have to get out of here, Noah." Do you know as to how to do that?" I inquired as I sprung from my seat, scanning the entire garden for anything that resembled an escape.

"There was always one Alessia," "All you had to do was notice it," Noah replied, pointing to a vortex that began to develop, swirling roundly and imbued with vibrant colours. I began heading into it with a sense of optimism just as I realised what this meant for me. I came to a halt in my steps, and two options began to materialise in the forefront of my mind, brutally reminding me that I couldn't have it all. Aiden, Logan, and the rest of the supernatural beings were depending on me on one hand. On the other hand, there was the tranquilly I had always desired. But it was Noah, my friend, who came to my aid when I needed it most.

"I'm sorry, but..." I mumbled to Noah as approached me and wrapped his arms around me.

"I know, but Alessia, it's the best option." "You can either save everyone or be with me, and you and I both know what the appropriate decision is," he replied, and my entire soul began to mourn in a way that didn't require vocals to torture me.

"I'm not ready to leave." "I want to stay with you and share an eternity of happiness and joy with you, Noah," I said, a glimmer of optimism in my eyes.

"Alessia, we can't be selfish; just do one thing for me." Be content. "All I want from you is to be happy and to have a life with the right person who makes you comfortable," Noah remarked, wiping the tears from my eyes with a wounded grimace.

"Please don't abandon me again." "I don't want you to leave me." I sobbed so loudly that a rumbling rocked the ground beneath me as if even the heavens had heard my cries and wailed aloud.

"Alessia, remember what I said. "Love yourself." With a slide of his hand, he propelled me into the vortex while whispering in my ears. I yelled his name, but he turned around, tears streaming down his cheeks and onto the thick dirt. That would be the final time we ever said goodbye, and it devastated my heart into pieces that could never be put back together. Happiness, no matter how it was bestowed upon me, will never be the same...
