Falling

Miso found it comforting that the leader, Chris, would be her roommate throughout her stay here in the dorm. In addition, the band members appeared to be so chill and open that most of them were just comfortable with each other.

He seemed to have been a good guy, someone who takes responsibility for everyone. In addition, Chris seemed like a good older figure in the group and mature for his age.

There wasn't a moment where she found it awkward to be with him.

Chris even went to the length of helping her organize her things in the room and realized that it wasn't really much of a good idea for him to go over to her suitcase.

It appeared that he found a black piece of chest binder included in her suitcase. Miso immediately grabbed it and put it away from his sight.

They continued to act like nothing as Miso stood up and walked towards the cabinet, "This is where I'll be putting my clothes, right?"

Chris nodded.

Miso grabbed the cabinet handles and put the clothes she had on the topmost section of the cabinet with a stool. Even if most of the things she had brought were her twin brother's possession, she still got some things that would help her hide her identity as a woman.

The black-clothed binder. She even wore one right now, and she even brought several of them so that Miso would have several things to switch it up with.

She couldn't believe that she would go through the lengths of cutting her hair and even do a lot of things to hide her identity. But this was for her twin brother.

Her most precious twin brother is her utmost priority right now.

'I wish I could visit Jay while he's recovering," Miso thought to herself. 'But it would be impossible. So instead, I'd have to focus on practicing the songs Blue Rose had for a week to perform well in their first official group busking.'

As she noticed herself spacing out, Miso wanted to drop her right foot on the floor but didn't find a suitable space and ended up going out of balance.

She felt herself falling on her right side.

Not knowing anything to do, Miso closed her eyes and hoped for the best.

BAM!

Miso opened her eyes and didn't really feel any pain in her back. The ceiling was still white in color, and it didn't seem like she had a heavy concussion on her head.

'Of course, I'd be alive," she muttered under her breath. But then, she noticed that the floor seemed to be much softer than she expected. Indeed, the floor would transform into a bed, right?

She turned her head to the side and found Chris's chest behind her. She glanced at the top of her head and saw him right behind her. Miso was surprised by this and immediately sat up.

It turned out that she fell on top of Chris as he suddenly jumped into the scene. Unfortunately, his right leg was in between both of her legs, and when she sat up, Miso noticed that she was sitting on Chris's right knee.

She immediately rolled over to the right with her knees kneeling on the floor.

"I'm so sorry!" Miso yelled as she fixed her gaze on the ground. "I'm so sorry!" she said. "I fell on top of you. I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry!"

Chris sat up. His face was red from embarrassment. "No, it's okay. You don't have to apologize at all."

"But I fell on top of you.." Miso trailed off as she couldn't even stare at him in the eye. "I must have been so heavy."

Shaking his head as a reply, Chris responded. "No, not at all. You were as light as a feather, you know!"

Raising her head, Miso glanced at Chris, who was now staring at her with a small smile. Both of his dimples located on the sides of his mouth showed up as if it was swooning her over.

The two of them spent a few moments staring at each other's eyes. The more Miso stared at him, the more she appreciated his calm and kind demeanor. He always looked at her with a smile and accepted her situation without any more questions.

For Miso, Chris looked like an angel that came down from heaven. He was her first ally and hopefully would be the last. She hoped he to be her confidant whenever things got hard.

Miso felt her heart throb for a moment, and it was as if she was slowly falling for this moment. She had no idea why she already felt the connection between them when it hadn't even been that long ever since they met.

It seemed like Chris felt awkward with how Miso was staring at him intently that he spoke, "Should we continue to organize your things here?"

"Yes, we should," Miso shyly answered. "Thank you for helping me, though."

They spent the next moments in silence. And Miso felt the need to open up any topic. But, the more she became more aware of him, the more she got nervous spending her time with him alone in the room.

Aside from her twin brother, Miso had not interacted with any men that much as she went to an all-girls school back then. She spent her time idolizing men in books and mangas that she wasn't really even that familiar with crushing on real men.

'I have to think of any topic,' Miso thought to herself. Her brain started functioning to its most total capacity. It started thinking of the past conversations they had and making it a topic.

Miso was an introvert, but she still knew how to initiate and make friends with others, right?

She had to prove this to herself and go out of her shell.

'Come on, you can think of anything, Miso-yah!'

Right at that moment, Miso decided to speak whatever came to her mind.

"Is it true that you don't wear anything when you sleep?"
