Rules changes (part 02)

A rule change was unexpected, but everyone was curious about what the event would be like this year.

"This time, after discussing with the representatives, we decided to sub-divide the first two phases into sub-phases this time, having solo, double and group matches"

"Well, to be more exact, these two phases became another six, with an award for each of the modalities, in addition, you won't need another recommendation to be able to participate"

*murmurs*

At that moment, the entire square was filled with murmurs from the various students, many were excited by the prizes that would be offered while others were unhappy about the changes made so late.

"I don't see any problems, what did you think of the changes?" Asked Luan who was next to me.

"The change was a bit abrupt but I don't see any problems" Merida replied.

"I don't see any problems either" Echoed Arthur.

"The changes may have been a little unexpected but they will not harm the event itself, I believe that this way more students will have the opportunity to participate, the complainers are just narrow-minded petty people" I simply added.

The murmurs continued for a few minutes and only when everything was quiet again did the City Lord speak again. "We will leave all general information on a wall in the square and all students will receive a pamphlet with detailed information in addition to a registration form where you can inform which competitions you will participate in"

Finishing his speech, he said goodbye to us and everyone started to disperse after receiving the pamphlet with all the detailed information.

Turning the pages, there was one with the entire schedule that would take place over the next few days:

| Programming|

1st day - Group Ranged Combat

2nd and 3rd day - Individual ranged combat

4th day - Group hunting

5th and 6th day - Individual melee combat

7th day - Mixed group combat

8th and 9th day - Mixed double combat

10th day - Debate

The whole event would last the few weeks and after to read the panflet it I could see that it was a way to see how everyone reacted depending on the situation.

These changes seemed to be intentional rather than something decided at the last moment, something I couldn't help but ponder as I started reading the information about each level. "Do high-ranking people know that something is going to happen in the next few years?"
