1st day (part 06)

Elora's point of view:

Suddenly, I felt an intense gaze on me and when I tried to find its origin, it had already disappeared without leaving traces.

I felt a certain level of apprehension as I looked around hoping to find some clue but to no avail.

"Did something happen?" Asked Brayan who was around me.

"It's nothing" I replied quietly, looking away.

Brayan didn't press the point but his face said he didn't believe my words.

I didn't care about the matter and continued to wait for the results to be announced.

It didn't take long and soon the City Lord climbed into the a small stage before announcing the results.

"Sorry to make you all wait so long, the count is finished and we won't waste any more time" He paused a little and with a slight smile on his face, announced.

"The winner of the first test was the Kingdom of Vaughan while the team that got the most points came from the same kingdom. In second place is the Kingdom of Aodh followed by Genevieve, while the second place in relation to the groups comes from Genevieve and third place went to a group of Aran"

Finishing the announcements, the teachers of the respective kingdoms went up to receive a medal of merit each, which represented the kingdom's placement in the event as well as the year in which it was held.

After the kingdom awards ran out, the student awards followed.

First place would receive three merit points each student, as well as a weapon forged by Brigido's best craftsman, second place would receive two merit points each, and third place one merit point per student.

In this way, the students who were in 1st place went up to the small stage to receive their merit points, which were in the shape of a small shiny coin and they specify how would like the weapon that would be forged and then the second and third place also soon showed up.

Returning my gaze to the stage, I noticed that a girl from Genevieve was looking at me with a small smile on her face, but I didn't have time to react properly when she blended into the crowd and disappeared.

Remembering that smile on her face a bad feeling crept into my heart and my breath quickened in the process.

Brayan who was beside me noticed my anomaly and with a worried face touched my shoulder as he asked. "Are you okay?"

Taking a few deep breaths causing my heart rate to gradually slow down, I lifted my gaze to meet his and replied. "It's nothing, if you'll excuse me, I have to go somewhere and Brayan, could you tell your grandfather I have something to say to him later?"

I saw a stunned look come across his face and after noticing the seriousness with which I was speaking he nodded his head before completing. "I'll talk to him"

Receiving confirmation, I said goodbye to the others and walked discreetly, without anyone noticing me, out of the complex we were in before heading towards the flower shop.

Things looked like they were going to happen ahead of schedule and I needed to warn Joyce and make a plan to prevent the worst from happening.
