2nd day (part 01)

Leaving the flower shop after discussing some preparations with Joyce I went back to my room and at nightfall I talked for a few hours with Renan before going back to rest.

Tomorrow would be the second day of the competitions and I would have to be ready in case something happened.

* * *

The next day came and with the sunrise on the horizon I dressed in black leather pants with a white blouse and a vest the same color as the pants, I put a glove on my right hand and after checking that my bow and arrows were in good condition, I went down the stairs towards the square where the announcements of the day would be made.

The rules would be simple, as with the previous test, the test as a whole, it would be divided into three phases, with fixed, moving targets and the hunting in the forest.

The only difference was that this time there would be an undercard.

About only 50 people signed up for this test, in the first phase about half of the students would be eliminated, in the second phase the best ten would be decided and in the third phase only the top ten would participate and compete against each other for the first, second and third place.

I talked for a while with my friends and after they wished me good luck I walked towards the training ground.

"All who will participate please line up, one person at a time will be evaluated and the rules and procedures will be the same as the previous race"

Hearing the guidance, I got in line and waited my turn.

While waiting for my turn, I watched the other contestants who were performing before me.

Some people were really good and I think they definitely be in the finals.

Others not so much, they made a lot of mistakes and only with luck would they move on to the next phase.

I kept watching and soon my turn was coming.

I took a deep breath and started to empty my mind, if it was a battle of life and death whoever made a mistake first would die, there wouldn't be a second time.

At those times, the image of my grandmother always came to my mind, her rigid lessons and her pampering.

"Your turn" I returned my gaze to the person responsible for the test and after nodding slightly I walked towards the middle of the open field.

Finding a good angle I gave myself a panoramic view of all the targets and waited for the countdown to start the evaluation.

As I listened to the numbers being counted down, I felt everything around me slow down and if I was watched closely a faint golden hue shimmered faintly in my eyes.

Only the targets were in my view and I waited attentively for the pronunciation of the zero.

As soon as the countdown ended, I took about three arrows from the basket beside me and with a slight smile on my face, I released them without hesitation.

Let the show begin!
