2nd day (part 03)

After I changed me, I went back to the training ground and waited for the result of the first phase.

Of course, I was confident it would pass and so I wasn't too worried, my only concern was 'them' who were in the dark, lurking and ready to attack at any moment.

A few hours passed and the result came out and, as expected, my name was among the classifieds.

The general classification with the position in the ranking and the score of each student was not informed, this information would only be informed after the third and final phase, thus maintaining the suspense.

The second phase would only happen in the afternoon after lunch, so I left the field and went to lunch with the others.

While eating my mind was elsewhere most of the time and that feeling of foreboding was increasing with each passing day.

"Is there something bothering you?" Brayan asked in a soft whisper beside me so no one could overhear our conversation.

I looked at him sideways and then shared my opinion of what was on my mind. "As you are also from the Royal Family, it doesn't hurt to share my opinion" I muttered before continuing to speak, also in whispers. "You must have heard from your grandfather about the Aires Family, right?"

I saw him waving lightly and resumed. "As you may already know, a major crisis is approaching us at every moment and our enemy is in the dark, waiting for the right moment to strike, which is very problematic"

"Because of who we are, under certain conditions, before a crisis, we can feel when something is about to happen and it's something we can't ignore"

"Right now I'm about 95% sure something will happen during one of the trials, but the question is, which trial is he most likely to attack?"

I paused briefly so he could follow my reasoning and returned to the topic at hand.

"So I was thinking, what if they choose the time when there are more students present and they can go unnoticed? Which is to say they can be among the teachers, students and even in the City Lord's house without anyone noticing. "

"Only teachers and staff can have access to the list of subscribers and only students can execute such a plan discreetly and without arousing suspicion and that is the big problem"

I took another break and went back to ruminating on the subject, we had to be careful.

So I went back to Brayan and asked him. "Can you ask your grandfather if I can check the number of students registered for upcoming exams?"

"Of course" He nodded in agreement.

"Great, it doesn't have to be now but I hope I can get an answer before dark"

After talking a little more with everyone else it was almost time for the next phase to happen.

Leaving the cafeteria we walked back to the training ground, we said our goodbyes before Brayan and the others returned to the stands as I headed towards the field.

The second phase would be the same as the first test, with the only difference being the duration, which increased to ten minutes.

I lined up with the other students and patiently waited my turn.
