Unexpected attack (parte 02)

Elora's point of view:

Fully waking up and waiting for Almira to return, I went into the bathroom to take a quick shower before sitting at the table and waiting for her.

The night was quiet and a cool wind came in through the window, I picked up the documents that were scattered across the table and slowly analyzed them.

With just over two years to go until I officially inherited the Aires Family and Joyce had been helping me understand the family's inner workings.

There were a lot of things to take into account and we were spread out across all five realms, making it even more difficult to manage.

I prepared a small pot of tea and leaned over the papers, paying attention to all the details and information present there.

As I read the papers, my hand suddenly froze in midair as I felt an indescribable level of danger coming from my left, where the window was.

I didn't hesitate for a second when I got up hurriedly and ran towards the bed and pulled out a dagger that was under the pillow, my whole action lasted less than 3 seconds.

*wood breaking*

I turned my gaze to the window that was now broken and stared at the man in black who had just arrived.

His eyes looked a little surprised that I seemed to have noticed his arrival, however, he didn't flinch much before running towards me also with a small dagger in his hands.

I didn't waste any time either and ran towards him exchanging blows after blows.

We were fighting close to each other and each blow targeted a vital organ making our grief extremely dangerous.

*Cut*

A slight gash appeared on my waist as blood began to pick up from him, but I ignored it and continued to attack the invader, ignoring the throbbing pain.

"Young Lady here is-" That's when I heard the door open and someone enter.

The man in black, realizing that someone else was coming, stopped the attack midway and ran towards the window where you could see a rope hanging down.

Breathing a sigh of relief as I turned to face Almira who was frantic at the door. "No need to chase him, just report to Joyce and don't let the news get out, looks like I won't be able to get back to Marva"

Almira ran towards me holding two bags with the meal and after verifying that none of the cuts I had on my arms and waist were deep, she helped me disinfect them and bandage them properly before handing me my dinner. "Eat first and then we go together to talk to Lady Joyce, luckily you only had a few scratches and nothing serious happened, that person should have tried to capture you instead of killing you, but, we shouldn't make the same mistake twice"

I saw the slight panic in her eyes and nodded letting her calm down a bit.

It looked like we were going to have to leave Brigido sooner than planned.
