Afterword

Arthur's point of view:

"This is the end?"

Hearing Brayan mutter from the side, I couldn't help but wonder inwardly. "It will be?"

I knew that this question was not about recent events but about the relationship between us.

We hadn't realized it before, but it was that person who kept the relationship between us intact.

I may have been the one who introduced Merida and Luan to her but we weren't as close as we were after attending the gym together with her, I don't even need to mention our relationship with Brayan, her departure would inevitably cause a barrier to arise between us.

I sighed sadly as I also turned my gaze to the sky. "When will we ever meet again? How long will it last until then? It could be that our relationship has changed to something hopeless by then..."

Soon the day came for us to return and everyone was gathered in the main square waiting for the City Lord's last words.

The atmosphere was no longer the same as when it started, a heavy air hovered over everyone present and all that energy present when we arrived was gone.

"Attention everyone" The Lord's deep voice was heard. "I know that many of you may be unwilling to accept what happened and feel outrage on the part of us, who hosted this event, for failing to maintain order and ensure the safety of all of you"

"Fortunately, we didn't have any fatal losses among the visitors, but still, we are very sorry for those who chose to defect to the opponent's side and we all know that we cannot judge them and that they must have their reason for doing so"

"We regret all that happened and we hope that this does not happen again, I hope we can host this event again in the future, I apologize to everyone here and I offer you a safe journey on your way back"

The Lord bowed to everyone present and without waiting for anyone to say anything, he left the stage.

It was really a shame that everyone's plans and expectations weren't met and I knew everyone there knew not to blame the host.

Collecting our luggage, we all boarded their respective carriages and followed the journey back.

The landscapes were the same, the days continued to run as usual, nature followed its course and everyone went back to their daily lives but, for some, something seemed to be missing.

All the innocence present in the young faces seemed to have disappeared when the cruel reality came to us, destroying the beliefs that prevailed in their lives.

Something seemed to have changed, whether in the way the youth of the Five Realms acted, thought or talked, the impending war that loomed over our heads seemed to affect us more and more as time went on.

Fear arose in the hearts of many, but woe to those who still had hope that this crisis would be overcome.

With all these turbulent thoughts in mind, when everyone least expected it, two years had already passed.
