Delicate

"Must you breathe so loud!" I have had enough as I finally confront him through my angry scowl.

"Well, I must breath your highness" his snarky tone emerges as I continue to look at the papers in my hands. Overlooking the budget of my soldiers, trying to take war off of my brain as my eyes are tempted to cave. "What are those papers?" Gabriel ask me as I look up from the blurry papers to his blue eyes, slightly paler today.

"They are for those who are above a simple advisor." I remark as his smirk vanishes. "Somehow this stub makes no sense at all!" I say to myself as I sigh deeply, rubbing the temple of my nose to try to counter the blurs.

"Let me see" Gabriel asks as I feel too tired to fight him furthermore. "These make perfect sense, war will be a cost but you will survive" he says as I yawn looking out the carriage window.

"I don't want to survive, not if my people don't" I tell him as I lay my head back against my seat.

"People survive" his poor attempt of assurance as I nod my head with my closed eyes to his words. "We are people, we adapt to the most inhumane of worlds" he tells me as I continue to nod, losing track of what seems to be his infinite words.

"We are people, we adapt to the most inhumane of worlds" something takes over me, and a part of me wants to push her worries aside as I divert my eyes from the papers and see her closed eyes that held so much dismay for me closed. Her lips scrunched as if she held a secret close to her and her hair falling wildly around her face.

Somehow in her peaceful state she looked the most careless. Her anger, worries and lies all gone.

Prying my eyes away from the wonder she looked like and outside looking at the town as the horses outside trot through and focusing on the people.

I couldn't help but have my own come to heart. The picture in my mind was not far from the truth I left with, and the worry of war was certain death. Somehow Narvyia had no hope, and my simple thoughts of them would not be enough to save them.

With the sudden carriage hitting a bump I grasp on tighter to the seat, laying back as Evania's head falls onto my chest. The thought of quickly pushing her aside, laying her across the seat crossed my mind but as the bumps continued and he state is constant, her eyes deprived of sense and knowledge. As her head lapsed onto my chest, small pieces of her bun hiding her face, her nose twitching from their presence.

Sweeping aside her small hairs aside for a second, thinking with no doubt in my mind that on her face I spot a genuine smile.

Her most vulnerable state was unconscious. Her head nuzzling against my chest as I have no other choice but to stay still, my breath light to make sure she would not wake and my eyes widen in surprise.

Although I have only known Evania for a few week time I knew her reaction, she would either ignore this interaction altogether or shock would taint her face when she awoke. Somehow imagining her surprise cause me to smirk as I desperately hold back a laugh to not wake her. Feeling something of warmth on my thigh as my eyes lock in on her hand. Her careless hand thrown on my thigh, deep sleep and the carriage bumps causing her hand to innocently move up my thigh as I feel the intense desire in blood.

The one feeling that had been doormat for months as her hand reached my upper thigh as I look at her closed eyes and primrose lips waiting, holding back my agreements to her hand by biting my lip.

"WE HAVE ARRIVED!" the yell pulls me out of my dark thoughts as Evania's eyes clasp tightly at the voice as she pulls herself back up, gripping the inside of my thigh as she yawns.

"Are you awake, my Queen?" I ask her as she nods, her eyes opening fully as I can see the spark of instant embarrassment as she look at her hand then to my eyes. "If you keep that hand there any longer I am afraid we will never accomplish any business today, your highness" my voice deepening as she takes away the warmth of her hand, her eyes still lingering on me.

"Carriages, I always find them to be a ruff ride" She lies as I scoff at her fib and she exits, taking the hand of another knight as I follow her.

"The scene is this way madam" the knight says as I cock my eyebrow at the word madam when referencing Evania.

"Another lie?" I ask her, walking beside her as the knight walks ahead of us both.

"Must everybody know the queen is in the village. With two attempts to kill me I thought the best course of action was to bend the truth" She tells me as I nod my head at her typical safety net.

"So, who are you today?" I ask her as she shrugs as the knight stops ahead.

"A lady, married to a Duke, or a madam" she admits as I stop as she turns to me.

"Your were not anything close to a madam in the carriage, dear" I remind her as she rolls her eyes at my sight.

"The house is just around this path" the knight instructs as she nods and continues down until the sight of soldiers cloud around a house.

"Come! We must determine how extreme the damage is" she pushes me, walking ahead of me as I fall behind her in curiosity.

"NO LADIES BEYOND HERE!" A knight orders as I see red glistened across her eyes. "This scene is no sight for a delicate women like yourself" Knight tries to soother her, grabbing her arm as her gaze fixes on him as I try to get to her.

"I am no woman, I am your Queen!" She informs them as the man words are caught in his mouth as she pulls his hand off of her arm. "I am anything but delicate!" her words coming off as less of a reminder but a statement as she pushes past the knight and I follow.

"My Queen!" I hear as a councilman pushes himself against Evania and trying to push her back. "This is no lovely scene" he warn her as she smiles.

"I know what I am walking into Gaverns" trying to push past him as he attempts again to grab her attention.

"What is coming of the war? I hear Narvyia has set up a alliance camp near the border of Ophela" He mentions as her breathing deepens with every second her stands in front of her.

"I mean no offense, but Gaverns I must attend to my duties" the angry reminder laying seige as she pushes past him and into the house and suddenly-
