Tom's What?

The order came from the head of the magus society himself? Silas's court members seemed in a panic to think their leader would give an order such as this. A human named Tom Kyle was found dead the night before last. Silas waited for the chaotic confusion to die down. He was in his chair patiently: as he waited for them all to shut up.

Comprehending a murder was not easy, but for Felix, it was. Do not get me wrong; it is terrible. The thought of killing was a job well done: in Felix's book anyway. His thoughts drifted off to last evening's events. Paralyzing fear had struck Tom.

Felix was ruthless when it came: to his work," Human scum like you should drop dead." His voice was cold. Felix couldn't care less about humanity; He despised human life. Tom had been shaking as Felix walked closer to him. His lycan was hungry to tear into Tom's flesh. The eighteen-year-old had taken his lycan form: as the human in front of him knew, he was about to die or be seriously injured.

Frozen where he stood as he begged the monster in front of him for mercy, "Please, l-let me... live." Felix growled at Tom. The human backed away as he tried to find a way out to save his dear life.

Just when Felix was about to devour him. He parts his lips, "I will tell you who hired us to kill the boy. Let me live!" His voice shaking, it came out as a loud whisper. Felix stopped as his lycan stood there in confusion as he was deciding to believe this human or not.

He used the mind link again, "Why should I believe; a filthy human, such as yourself?" The lycan twisted his wording. The man stood in place for a moment. "I know my boss wants me to kill him, but we killed his mother instead. She was begging us: not to hurt her boy. She had told us to kill her in his place." He told Felix.

Felix raised his hackles, "Give me his name. You might be able to live to see another sunrise." The lycan told him as he threw Tom against the brick wall. Tom nods his head in response, "His name is Fred Killstin." Tommy boy told him.

Felix dropped the man and turned to walk away. Tom smiled, saying, "I am going to live." He told himself to see the big picture of not dying tonight. He was wrong for the second Felix turned around. Tom was dead. His last thought on earth was that he would live.

Felix saw Tom's dark brown eyes fade to a gray color. His back slid down the wall onto the ground beneath him. He was dead, and Felix found his next bounty. After the target's death, he'd reported to Silas. Felix turned back; to normal and pulled out his phone, dialing Silas's number.

Silas answered the phone call, "Is it done?" He questioned Felix through the connected line. Felix speaks, "Yes, it is, sir." His voice sounded like there was no emotion in it. Like he had been talking like this all his life. Silas told his second-in-command he did a great job, "The name we are looking for is Fred Killstin." He said again with no emotion.

Silas smiled at this news, "Your new bounty is waiting for his grim reaper." His boss replied, ending the call. A smile grew wild on his face from ear to ear. He broke out into a wicked laugh, "Know that Tommy boy was taking care of it was Freddy's turn to dance with the grim reaper." The sicking grin plastered on his face. Nothing sounded sweeter than the sound of death to Felix, the grim reaper.

Kadin ran in his lycan form. Harley was sticking to the shadows on this bright summer morning. Going on a morning run for couples was normal. However, for supernatural couples, it was a playground. The young couple came to a complete stop. The four months they have been together have been magical. Kadin is unaware of Felix's mission that; had been assigned to him by his uncle. His uncle's second in command. He is not usually gone for days on end; without him, checking on the young lycan prince; or even speaking to him.

Harley saw that Kadin was staring off into space, "Kadin, you okay?" Her soft voice snapped Kadin out of his deep thoughts. Kadin looked down at his girlfriend as her golden eyes shined like stars, "I am fine." He told her, shaking off the feelings that cluttered his mind. To be honest. He did not want to worry her about his troubles even though she was his girlfriend. He loved his mate too much to burden her with his problems.

The truth of the matter; was that his mother's birthday was coming up. Since he was old enough. He would have the power to resurrect her spirit on her birthday. She can only come back once a year, and it saddened him whenever his father would bring her back. His mother would still wear the same shirt from the day she died. The same wounds on her body that caused her death. It tore him up inside because of the guilt he felt. He was the reason; she was dead after all, "I cannot do it..." He trailed off, unaware he said it out loud.

The vampire floated up to her boyfriend, grabbing his face with her cold hands, "Cannot, do what?" She asked to hope he would tell her what he had on his mind. He could not bring himself to talk to her, "Go home." Kadin told her. Harley tilted her head, "Why?" She questioned, "I said go home." His voice was cold to her for the first time since their relationship began. She did not move, "Kadin, what is wrong?" Her questions just made him angrier, "I SAID GO HOME!!" He yelled, his eyes flashing their lycan blue.

She ran not, caring that the sun was burning her pale white skin. Kadin's anger got the better of him. He didn't move as he watched Harley's skin start to flack off, burning in the sunlight. He messed up. He had bolted after her as his body shifted into his lycan. His lycan was bigger: than the other born lycans. His whole lycan form was about seven feet tall.

Her vanished skin healed as her boyfriend stood shedding the sun. The rays of the sun covered the giant lycan in front of her. Towering over his vampire girl, he'd pull her close to his chest. His lycan scared that he almost lost her to his stupid anger. Kadin held Harley for about fifteen minutes, listening to her heartbeat.

He walked Harley to their room, closing his bedroom blinds. He laid her down on the bed as his little sister came in. She looked worried as she got to Harley and cowled into bed with her brother's mate. Kadin told his sister to watch Harley until he got back. Pheobe nodded while Kadin ran outside, turning into his lycan once more.

He could not get the images out of his mind. It was replaying his mother's death and Harley dying almost. It scared him. He did the one thing he could think of run. He ran as fast as his inhuman legs could carry him. The earth: cracks underneath him. The supernatural world-shaking from the young lycan cries.

Kadin fell to his knees as his legs grew numb. His lycan, crying in pain. Kadin felt someone nearby, "What do you want, sir?" He asked the figure in the shadows. Cole stepped out into the shade of the trees, protecting him from the sun. The vampire king wanted to step out and hug the young lycan but didn't. He walked forward and reached his pale hands to hug his daughter's mate. Cole looked at the teen, "I accept you, Kadin Draven, as my daughter's mate." The words just fell out.

The two of them sat in silence as the teen tried to wrap his head around what had happened. For being the bitten one, he can sometimes be slow. Cole smiled, "Kid, are you just going to stand there or give your future father-in-law a hug?" The vampire joked the young lycan hadn't taken it that way. For all; he knew Cole's kindness could be a trick. Kadin scowled at the old vampire, "You tried to kill me. Why should I trust you, and why would you accept me as Harley's mate now?" He asked.

Cole smiled at Kadin, "Because I heard your conversation with Harley a few months back. Your father took Harley in as one of his own, that's why." He said with a smile. Kadin growled, "Leave before I rip you apart." He told him.

Kadin watched the vampire's movements as he stepped into the sunlight and tried to prove his point. His skin started to vanish just like Harley's did before. He knew he could not let that happen to her father, "Are you so stupid you want to die old, man! He shouted at him to push Cole into the protection of the shadows. His burnt-off skin started to heal, "I want to be here for you and Harley, my son." The vampire smiled, "I am not your son." Kadin snapped.

Cole smiled at Kadin, "Kadin, where are you?" Harley asked through the mind link. Kadin could hear her thoughts even when she sleeps; 'She is having a nightmare again. He thought, "I have to go." He told Cole as he bolted.

Phoebe did not know what to do as Harley began to shake in her sleep. Crying even, Harley started talking in her sleep. Beg for Kadin as she cried; for him in her sleep. Phoebe began to call her name and tried to wake up her older sister. Her elder brother came in, "Phoebe, what is happening?" Jace asked. That is not the elder brother she was hoping for: Jace walked up to the bed, "I don't know, but where is Kadin. He needs to be here. She needs him." The seven-year-old said.

Jace looked at his little sister as he ran off to find Kadin. Kadin made a break for his room as he returned to his home. He leaped over Jace as he crashed into his dresser. Phoebe jumped as she heard her brother crash into the room, "Kadin." Harley asked, "I am here, Harley." He told her.

He rushes over to her as she begins to calm down. After a while, she woke up as Kadin hugged her. She was shaking but relaxed with Kadin in her arms. He pulled away and looked down, "You had a nightmare again?" He questioned her.

She nodded her head in response. Kadin could see the fear in her golden eyes. She swallowed hard as her eyes scanned the room. Jace smiled at her as Phoebe ran to her. Harley smiled down at her.

Cole was determined to get his kids back. Even; though he was the one who didn't want them. Letting; the anger that consumed him. Consume him because his children were all grown up. They found their soulmates ever thought: they were different supernatural beings. He was blind with his rage and even tried to take away Kadin's freedom. Away from his family and Harley. Cole knows now that he couldn't do that to his daughter.

His granddaughter Lily walked into the kitchen as her grandfather poured a glass of O-positive blood. Lily looked for a midnight snack; she is human: after all. Cole looked at her, "You know all of your favorite snacks are in the cupboarded." He told her. She looked in the cupboard and saw dried banana chips. A big smile grew on her face, "Thanks, grandpa." She said.

Joel walked through the kitchen door and gave her a puzzling look, "What, Joel?" She hummed her question as she could feel his eyes on her. He parted his lips, "What in tarnation are those?" He asked his human mate. He was right behind her in seconds. She turned around, "There are banana chips. They are my favorite dried fruit. Here, try them." She smiled at him as she put the dried fruit in his mouth. He took a minute to taste it. Thinking about if he liked it or disliked it. He didn't wish to make his mate unhappy, "It is sweet but dole." He told her honestly.

At least he was honest with her. Her shining eyes lost some of their spark with his words. He upset her a little, and by the way: her grandfather's face looked. He could tell she was. Joel looked at his king, and it hit him. She was a little down, so Joel turned back around: and kissed her forehead. His lips tickled her forehead: which caused her to giggle, and a smile danced on her thin lips.

He never wanted to make her unhappy. He'd rather always see her smiling face, "I love you." He told her, causing her to blush. It looked like she was going to pass out. Cole glared at him as he started to chase Joel. Joel tried to call his boss out: trying to calm him down. He ran like hell was on his heels as he feared for his life, "Grandpa, please stop trying to kill him." She pleaded for her grandfather to stop casing her boyfriend.

She thought the whole situation was hilarious and was right. Cole smiled at his granddaughter's happiness. He wants all of his loved ones: to be happy and loved. Even: if they didn't think that he loved them back. That was his one true wish. Having the people; who he dearly loves: to know he loved them. No matter what was to come he'd love them forever and always. That's what family meant to Cole Cullens.
