CHAPTER 32: TO THE BASE (4)

CHAPTER 32: TO THE BASE (4)

... Urgh..

Aria awakes as usual, but.

"Moorrnning!"

The unpleasant sound of a morning bell, caused by an embodied person, staring daggers into Aria's face as she awakens.

And the name of that creature is 'Kyrie'.

Surname unknown, all that Aria could say is—she is embodiment of an airhead.

*Sigh*

Aria, let's out a sigh as she said.

"Why do you always have to stare at my face every morning?"

She then glanced at Kyrie with a serious face.

"That's because you look cute every time".

Kyrie said with a triumphant look on her face.

Aria gazed away in disappointment.

— Hahhh! Why do I have to keep up with this?

Aria then shifted the topic as she asked.

"What do you want from me?"

"Well, since you are now fully awake, let's eat, cause today is training".

Aria was lackluster as she knew, Kyrie wouldn't train her, but work her, until she drops.

But, little did Aria know that she would be training for real this time.

Afterwards, they had their breakfast, but this time it was a little different from last times [snow quach], cause Kyrie had caught some fish earlier.

Though Aria could understand how she managed to catch the fish, she chose to ignore it, as the divine flavoring it created was irresistible.

The mouthwatering, richness of the fish mixed with the strangely sweet smell of the snow quash as it permeated the air was truly a divine miracle created.

Aria rushed the food, and at each time she did, she could taste the divine essence of the food.

In an instant, she had finished her fifth bowl, with an expanded stomach that couldn't take anymore.

Maybe it was because she was in her growing phase, so she might need more energy than normal. Kyrie thought as she glanced at Aria laying on the ground as she couldn't move her body again.

— Well, we're going to have a training session, so let her have a good time.

Being optimistic about the situation, she thought, while smiling.

A few hours later.

"Now let's train".

Kyrie said as she stood up with a gleeful expression.

Aria was confused over—why she suddenly said it with a weird expression on her face.

She then ignored it and followed Kyrie, as she knew contemplating over would be fruitless.

"Eve".

The cheerful Eve then came out flapping its wings as it headed behind Kyrie, later dissipated and turned into a flat board.

"Now let's start with the basics".

Amazed by the fact that. Kyrie, this time was actually teaching her, Aria said.

"Why are we suddenly training?"

Kyrie was also shocked by the question Aria gave, so she responded.

"What kind of image do you have of me.

No, what do you think I was doing all along?"

Fleeting ignorant of her question, she brought out a glasses and then continued.

"Hah... There are 5 types of klaurs, wolf-type, bull-type, humaniod, giant type, and finally flying klaurs.

Klaurs all have their special features and abilities, like.

The wolf-type all have sharp claws and teeth.

Bull type have power dash ability and sharp horns.

Humaniod klaurs are smart, they mostly tend to fight using their brains like humans do, and the most annoying of all is their shape-shifting ability.

Giant klaurs... Explaining thems' going to be burdensome.

Let's just say they are huge klaurs with more body parts".

Confused over the explanation, Aria said

Body parts?

Yeah, like the one you fought before.

Aria then recalled the klaur she fought before she met Kyrie.

***

Wait, how did she defeat that type of klaur?

My amethyst blade only made a cut on it, but it regenerated.

Hmm... All I remember is there was a light, then it exploded.

***

So...

Cutting the conversation, Aria said.

"Wait I have a question".

Kyrie wondered as she looked at Aria.

"Hmm... What?"

Aria bluntly asked.

"How did you defeated that giant klaurs?"

With the feeling of guilt written in her face, Kyrie said.

"Ohh.. That. Hehe, sorry about that, I just waited for an opening and threw an explosion spell to".

After a short pause, Aria pondered about her statement.

— So all that time, she was simply waiting for an opening.

Leaving a sigh of relief, Aria cooled her mind down—It's all OK, she saved me in the end, so there are no worries.

Kyrie deliberated for a while

— I better avoid any more questions, or else she would figure out I searched her entire body when she was unconscious.

Kyrie changed the conversation, as she didn't want to answer more questions about their meeting.

After the atmosphere of silent thoughts filled the air, Kyrie then shifted her glasses and said.

"Where were we...".

Following a short pause, she said.

"Ahh... Right the klaurs".

"Lastly, we have the flying klaurs, this type of klaurs mostly have wings and uses it for attack, it is a weakness and their strength".

"Now, let's move on to the higher grade klaurs, also known monster klaurs".

"The first on our list is the Alphas,

These klaurs are stronger than normal klaurs but the only difference between them and normal klaurs is they can use mana".

"As you know, mana is a life-energy".

Aria noticed Kyrie's glasses and pondered—By the way, where did those glasses come from?

Noting Kyrie continuing, she then sat and listened carefully.

"Alpha klaurs can use them without restrictions, but for humans, it can only be used without a medium".

Aria was not the brightest in classes, she never understood some important aspects.

But, listening to Kyrie, she noticed how much she missed out from classes in Area 02.

She then said.

"Medium?"

"Yes, medium, and that's the weapons you saw me with".

Kyrie then turned to Eve saying.

"Eve!"

Eve disappeared turning into a scythe.

"As you can see, this is my weapon.

The scythe, it has more range than normal blades".

"So our first job would be to find a weapon that suits you".

Instantly nodding in response, Aria then remembered about the blade Kyrie took.

"What about the blade you took from me?"

"Ohh... You mean this blade".

Kyrie then brought out the blade she took from Aria.

"I don't know where you got a blade like this, but this type is made of high quality amethyst, and that is not something a lost can easily get".

Thinking back, Aria remembered what they said about amethyst weapons back in Area 02—Weapons made of amethyst are high conductors of mana.

Aria was shaken as she hoped Kyrie wouldn't find out about their secret.

'Well, for now you can have it".

Kyrie then tossed the weapon into the air, as Aria swiftly caught it.

Surprised by her feet, Aria was confused, as she least expected Kyrie would give her back the blade knowing that it was a high grade weapon.

Kyrie stroked her glasses, giving her a smart impression, as she said.

"Well, now that you have a weapon, I expect you know how to weild it?"

Of course Aria knew how to wield the blade, but not as much as Kyrie does.

Nevertheless, Kyrie knew this, but ignored it as she said.

"Well, all that doesn't matter, let's move on to the real deal, cause the best teacher is experience".

Aria felt an eerie sensation as Kyrie's statement had no hesitation in them.

—————————————————————————

*Whirl*

The sound of the snow picking its pace as it lifted off the ground, flying towards the west.

There Aria stood enduring the breezing wind of the snow, with a rabbit costume, covering her body without a single place shown except her face.

It was truly a sight to feast.

"I don't remember agreeing to be a bait!"

Aria shouted out as she wore a gloomy look on her face.

Going back a bit, Kyrie had Aria wore the costume, saying it would help her fight more efficiently.

But little did Aria know that she would have to act as bait to lure an alpha klaur.
