Chapter 31: He Sucks at Games

“When you recommended this game to me I assumed you were good at the game,” Leila commented, clicking away. She was in her room, set up and chatting with Caden over the internet. “And why is your IGN just your name with a couple of numbers?”

C4denm1stral, as what was written on the screen, replied with a light laugh. “I’m aware I’m not that good but it’s still fun.”

“And I get that,” Leila pressed her lips together. “But man you’re worse than I thought you were.”

“I’m no gamer. You’re the gamer.” He admitted earning a groan from Leila.

“Please don’t tell me that. It sounds so cringe.” She felt herself sink back into the chair.

“You are though? Isn’t it your livelihood?” He repeated.

“It is but please don’t call me a gamer,” She insisted.

“I don’t get it,” Caden admitted from the other end. “But it seems that you’re having fun.”

“I am,” Leila clarified. She clicked her tongue and pressed her lips together. “I’m just not used to…just playing?”
