Chapter 32: The Nightmares Continue
Caden quietly contemplated in front of Leila’s door. He examined the door, looking at the plush that hung in a hook. There was a little piece of paper that read Leila’s Room written in crayon taped to the door. Your home… he thought
When he stood in the void he felt someone tap his shoulder. He turned to see Orion smiling gently before him.
“How’s Leila?” Orion questioned.
“She’s fine. We started talking offline.” Caden explained. Orion shot him a confused look for a second.
“Ah. You have what you call,” Orion trailed off. “The internet.”
“That sounds weird,” Caden commented. “But I forgot I’m talking to someone living in an actual fantasy world.”
“Your world is more fantasy in my perspective.” Orion rebutted. Caden nodded.
“Fair.”
“Laela still has a hard time connecting with Leila.” Orion steered the topic back on track. “I take it Leila is still very troubled.”
