BROKEN HEART.

"What do you mean?" Ella's breath hitched. "I am talking about how your mother, father, and brother were brutally murdered and how your older sister was mercilessly r*ped, how is she, the poor girl." Milli tsked as she shook her head. Ella stepped back, her breathing became difficult.

"I won't believe a word you say." Ella glared at her. But Milli threw her head back and laughed, she looked at Ella and gave her a mocking smile. "You know that I am saying the truth. Think my dear, you that brain of yours for once." Milli adjusted as glasses. "I do believe you, I believe that Lady Amorah sends those people to kill my family but I won't let you sow discord between me and Trent." Ella retorted. Mill snorted. "You poor thing, I must praise you for your benevolent trust in Trent but does Trent trust you?" Milli asked. "Of course, he does." Ella confidently replied.  "Will you be this confident after, I tell you the truth?" Milli smirked at her.

In the banquet hall, Elder Potter hugged Cyrus happily. "I am so glad that one of my grandchildren inherited my powers. Elder Potter held Cyrus's firm arms with a huge smile on his face.  David Potter and his family watched from the sideline with solemn looks on their faces.

      Cyra proudly stood beside Cyrus.

Trent pulled the tongue of their Leader out of his mouth. The pain made the wolf go numb.

"You should count yourself lucky, my girlfriend asked not to drag this, so I am going to end you now. His hand plunged into the wolf's chest and he pulled out his heart before throwing the body that landed a few meters away from him. The other wolves ran away. The people who lost their loved ones were boiling with anger and they chased after the wolves.

Trent could not sense Ella, so he rushed over to where Hazel was seated whilst breathing heavily.

"Where is Ella?" He sounded nervous when he spoke. Hazel shook her head. "She ran out, I wanted to chase after but I was attacked by a wolf." Her voice came out hoarse. Trent's face darkened as he ran out of the hall.  Ella turned pale when she heard Milli's narration. "You're lying!" Ella yelled at her. Milli began to laugh but it was short-lived when an arrow pierces her left shoulder. Milli winced in pain and looked at the roof, Ella also turned around. There was a woman on the roof, she was ten meters away holding her bow with her arrow bag wrapped around her back.

"It is time for us to leave." Ella gasped and shivered, she slowly craned her neck to see the person standing behind Milli, his voice was deep and scary, and he also looked huge and muscular. Ella was shocked because she did not see him coming nor did she feel his presence.

The lady on the roof placed the arrow in her bow and pointed it at Milli. Ella watched as a dark blue portal began to swallow Milli and the well-built guy who was also wearing a cape like Milli. The lady released her arrow that headed straight for Milli, it was so fast that Ella only felt the breeze, Milli's eyes went wide, she could see the arrow coming but she could not dodge it. The muscular blocked it with his metallic hand. Mill breathes out a sigh of relief. Ella watched them disappear with the portal. The lady on the roof was shocked, no one apart from Trent could dodge or block her arrows.

"Ella." Trent stood beside her, the lady jumped down from the roof and hurried over. "Trent!" Ella and Trent looked at her. The lady was tall, with a beautiful hourglass shape, and pointy ears. "Lady Elvina, I must thank you for protecting Ella." Trent kissed the back of her hand and blood rushed to Elvina's face. "It is our job to protect the weak." She said with a smile as beautiful as the flowers in springtime. "But you failed in catching any of them, is like your skills have gotten rusty." Her smile froze when she heard Trent's mocking tune. "The intruders do not seem normal, they are really strong." Elvina defended herself. "or maybe you're just weak." Trent said with a serious look, Elvina felt his chilly aura in the air, so Elvina excused herself. "Let's go back….

"Did you know about the attack?" Ella's voice cracked at the end. "About what?" his sounded cold and distant. Ella knew that it wasn't the Trent she knew but she needed to know. "The day of the attack, did you know about it, Milli said you knew that the attack would happen before it took place." The place went silent, Ella's was beating so fast as she nervously waited for his reply.

"What do you think?"  Ella walked over and stood an inch away from him, she looked into his silver eyes, that was now dark not as light and cheerful as they used to be. "I think she is lying."  Trent's eyes widened and felt warm in his chest, he could see the trust she had for him in her large brown eyes.

"I will only trust you, she wrapped her arms around him, there was no more distance between them, her chest pressed on him, and her lips crashed into his. Trent stiffened. He was shocked and didn't know what to do, Ella invaded his mouth and a warm tongue snaked into his. Trent's body began to go numb and hot at the same time, and his heartbeat grew faster. He pushed Ella away.

"You're two-timing, dear Miss Patterson." Trent's voice was rough as he spoke. "How is that possible, I am kissing my boyfriend." She said, Trent, chuckled.  "I am sure that you know that I am not him," Trent said with a serious look. "You're both the same to me, I trust and love you two." Trent felt a nudge in his heart.

"Then I am sorry to tell you this, but you place your trust in the wrong person. I found out about the attack, a day before it happened." Ella felt like she has been struck by lightning. "If you're doing this because you want me to hate you....   They saw a guard running over. "his majesty the king is looking for you." The guard bowed to him. "wait for me in the room." He walked away with the guard tailing behind, Ella was broken and confused as she slowly strode to her room.

The Vampires were going crazy since they were the ones who lost most of their people, they kept arguing as they tried to attack, the crescent moon family, and Hazel, her husband shielded her.

"ENOUGH!" The king roared and the entire room went quiet. "Don't you see, this is exactly what they want, I understand that you're in pain but why are you trying to attack the innocent?" "But their kind killed my wife!" The young vampire Gate saved gritted his teeth as he looked at the werewolves.

"Did you see Henry kill your wife?" The king asked, the young man was tongue-tied, he could only lower his head.

"They are our friends and they fought beside us, how dare you try to raise your hands at them.  All of you should return to your homes, if any news of any of you attacking a werewolf reach my ears, then that person will face my wrath." They all shivered from the menacing aura, exuding from the king.

"You're all free to go." They bowed their heads as soon as the crowd disperse. Except for Elder Qing, Elder Potter, Cyrus, and Acher. Robert gnash his teeth in anger, Gaia squeezed her son's hand and flashed him a genial smile.

"Cyrus, call the organization, and inform all the elders available to come over." "Yes, your majesty." He slightly bowed his head before pulling out his phone. The king saw Trent walking over with Gate and the guard beside him. "Acher, Trent, and Gate follow us." They all followed the king and Elder Qing.  When they all arrived at the secret meeting room, Joel was already there.

"I have something important to tell you all." The king calmly said. "Does it have to do with the attack?" the King knew that it was serious Trent that was out so he just nodded his head. He knew that this was a sensitive topic for Trent.  The meeting room went silent.

"Many years ago, when Lydia's mother was still the head witch of the palace, she created a cheat potion." The others looked confused. "What is a cheat potion?" Acher asked. "It helps a witch perform a difficult spell without any repercussions." The others were stunned.

"So, something bad happened?" Elder Qing asked. Augustus nodded his head. "Mira had an apprentice, a beautiful young witch with a promising talent. When Mira created the potion, she refused to let anyone know about it because to make such a potion the person has to use half of his or her life force. The apprentice wanted the potion she even tortured and killed Mira.

"Let me guess, this apprentice is none other than Lady Amorah." The rest of them looked at Trent.
