9 months since the battle between Sentry and Omni-Man, the world has rebuilt and moved on. The destroyed cities were rebuilt, the lives lost were buried. But humanity had to move past it and grow. The largest growth? The superhero community.
After Sentry's speech, his words rang true. So many new heroes rose up over the 9 months since the battle to fight against villains. Although it was very chaotic at first, they soon got into their rhythm, formed teams, and either faded into obscurity or made their marks.
The two most popular teams from the U.S. were the Guardians of the Globe and the Watchmen. Each one had taken up extra responsibility since the death of Omni-Man and Invincible.
The Guardians grew to a much greater degree. It stopped being a team because it had grown so large it could be called a league or guild. They had about 40 members that were divided into 5 teams of 8. These teams would take on various missions around the world or fight any crime they saw.
While the Watchmen did not grow as much, their fame was no lesser than the Guardians. The only new members of the team were Gen13 and Neko.
Even though they only had 7 members, the Watchmen were able to take down even some of the toughest foes. They were also well-liked due to their appearance as well. Most of the members of the team were beautiful women and men which, under HOMRA's promotion, got them a large fanbase.
As for Sentry, he had been taking preemptive measures against various threats to the planet that he knew about. At the moment, Sentry was dealing with the Sequids and Martians on Mars while The Watchmen were dealing with their threat on Earth.
After informing several different departments and going behind Cecil's back, The Watchmen walked into Guardians HQ under the surprised gazes of the many Guardians.
"Not that we don't like so many hot girls here but what the fuck are you all doing in our base?" Rex-Plode questioned
Rengoku reached into his pocket before pulling out a piece of paper. A warrant specifically.
"Hello there, Rex-Plode. We are here because we have been asked to arrest one of your members. Please come with us peacefully!" Rengoku said in his usual friendly voice but his words brought shock to all the Guardians present
Black Samson rushed up and grabbed the warrant before reading it over carefully. He turned and looked at the rest of the members that looked as if they were ready for a fight.
"Stand down!" he ordered them before turning to Rengoku, "Why is there a warrant for Shapesmith? And why weren't we told about it?"
"The warrant is for impersonation of a government official, kidnapping, identity theft, and murder in the 1st degree. You were not informed because they did not want you all to cover for him.
Something about 'too many cases in internal investigations ending in groups believing there is no fault' or something very similar. Please come quietly, Shapemith, or we will use force to take you in."
The lanky man in the background looked very nervous as he began to fly away and try to escape but The Watchmen were already prepared.
Neko and Necromancer stood in front of the exit that he wanted to go through. Necromancer began chanting before a wall of fire appeared behind her while Neko transformed from an ordinary-looking, black cat into a black cat that was larger than a tiger with blue flames surrounding its paws and at the tip of its tail.
Slate had shifted into his rock form as he and Zephyr blocked the exit on the right. Gen13 and Riptide stood on Shapesmith's left as they stood by the exit with their arms crossed.
Seeing that he was surrounded and his former team members were not going to help him, Shapesmith put his hands above his head in surrender. He was then escorted out in the custody of The Watchmen while the Guardians looked on in anger and humiliation.

Conner blew away several Martians with a swing on his arm as he sent them hurdling over half a mile. If they lived or died, Conner was not sure. His goal was just to get them away from him while he dealt with the wave of pink Sequids charging at him.
"I! Hate! These! Things!"
Conner raised his hands before unleashing a torrent of flames against the wave. When they came into contact with the flames, the Sequids let out a loud squeal of pain like pigs being slaughtered.
The wave diverted around Conner as it tried to surround him but this was what Conner had been waiting for.
With the Sequids dividing up their numbers to surround him, they had thinned out. It had finally given Conner a chance to see the man controlling it all yet being controlled, Rus Livingston.
He was an astronaut that had gone on the first manned trip to Mars with 3 others and Invincible. The 4 astronauts were captured by the Martians before being released by Invincible. In the confusion of their escape, one of the Martians transformed into Rus Livingston while the true Rus Livingston was forced to stay on Mars and become a host of the Sequids.
Conner flew towards Rus. As he neared, Sequids tried to attack him from all side. Conner smashed his fists together which unleased a wave of kinetic energy all around him, blowing away the Sequids once more.
Continuing his charge, Conner rush before Rus before smashing through him and turning the former astronaut into bloody mist. Conner knew that although he could have removed the Sequids on the outside of Rus's body, there were even more on the inside which were impossible to remove.
So Conner decided to end it then and there with the death of Rus. Afterall, the Sequids needed a living being to latch onto in order for their hivemind to activate but both Martians and Viltrumites were immune to their effects. With the death of their latest host, the Sequids fell to the ground one after the other.
Conner looked around and saw all of the Martians staring at him. Knowing that some were rebels and some were ruling party. But they all looked the same to him. And since none of them were trying to attack Earth, he truly didn't care what they did.
"Um, so I know you guys are fighting each other. And now it seems to be a fair fight since these guys are... inactive. Anyway, I'm gonna leave now. Don't try to attack Earth or I will... I don't know, blow up your ship?"
Conner was a bit distracted due to the information Scotty was telling him. As soon as he finished, Conner took to the sky and started heading back to Earth.
[What do you mean it ate half of Antarctica? How could... oh shit, it's him! Contact Cecil. This is a all hands on deck matter.] Conner sent the text back to Scotty as he started going even faster
