As a young woman Adair Fox enters the civilization test, the most difficult test in the entirety of the Galactic Empire, in hopes of achieving that highest of honors and finally becoming eligible to meet her parents. During the test Adair acts out of desperation and uses a dangerous ritual to save her people, only to get betrayed by them shortly after. Unfortunately not only does Adair fail the test, but she also finds herself trapped in a void for thousands of years until she eventually meets up with another being. She makes a deal with the Reincarnation Machine, which allows her to go back in time and become a sorceress.

The Forgotten Ability

The feelings she felt while going through the portal were similar but at the same time different from the previous teleports she had gone through. The best way she could describe it was that this teleport seemed less forceful and more natural compared to the other teleports, which seemed to be forcing themselves through the environment to connect the two destinations. This one seemed as if there was a prebuilt connection between the different locations which allowed a smother transition between locations. 


But she didn't have much more time to inspect the differences between the different portals since they were only in the portal for a few minutes at most until they arrived inside a small brick room. It took a few seconds for her to get oriented to her new surroundings.
